bhogakārikām || iha hi tatrabhavadbhiḥ sadyojyotiṣpādaiḥ prakaraṇapratipādyamānaṃ bhogamokṣātmakamarthaṃ sūcayadbhistasyaivā'vighnaparisamāptyarthaṃ prathamaṃ paramaśivanamaskāraḥ kriyate- tribandhicitkalāyogabhogaviśleṣamokṣadam | sarvakālakramārthajñaṃ praṇamyājaṃ śivaṃ dhruvam || 1 || trayo bandhāśca malakarmamāyālakṣaṇāste vidyante yeṣāṃ te tribandhinaḥ, teṣāṃ tribandhināṃ sakalākhyānāṃ citāmātmanāṃ yo'yaṃ kalāyogaḥ sūkṣmadehārambhakakalādipṛthvyantatattvātmakai-stattadbhuvanajadeharūpaiśca māyīyairavayavaiḥ saṃbandhaḥ, tena bhogaṃ tadviśleṣeṇa mokṣaṃ ca yo dadāti, taṃ tādṛśam | anena śivasyānādimuktatvena sarvā'nugrāhakatvaṃ sarvakartṛtvaṃ ca sūcyate | ata eva ca- sarvakālakramārthajñam | sarvaṃ ca bhūtādirūpaṃ kālakramaṃ sarvāṃśca tattatkālabhāvinaḥ padārthān jānātīti | etena cā'sya nirmalatvāt sarvakartṛtvācca sārvakālaṃ sarvajñatā pratipādyate | kiñca, ajam amalatvādeva śarīrādisaṃbandhātmanā'pi janmanā rahitaṃ | dhruvaṃ cāvikāriṇam | na tu bindvādivat pariṇāmitvam, vikāritve jaḍatvaprasaṅgāt | śivaṃ praṇamya bhogamokṣau vacmīti vakṣyamāṇena saṃbandhaḥ || 1 || rurusiddhāntasaṃsiddhau bhogamokṣau sasādhanau | vacmi sādhakabodhāya leśato yuktisaṃskṛtau || 2 || sādhayanti bhogamokṣāviti sādhakā ācāryādayaḥ, teṣāṃ dīkṣādau tatsādhanādijñānāya yuktyā anumānena, saṃskṛtau pratipāditau, śrīmadrauravatantropalakṣitasiddhāntaśāstre siddhau sasādhanau bhogamokṣau rauravānusāreṇaiva saṃkṣepād vadāmi || 2 || tatra tāvat satsādhanaṃ bhogaṃ darśayituṃ bhogādhikāraḥ keṣāmityata āha- añjanādīśanunnānāṃ jāyate bhogalolikā | karmāśayānurūpeṇa cidvatāṃ bhavamaṇḍale || 3 || malinatvādīśenādhikārāvasthena śivenānantādidvāreṇa nunnānāṃ bhogā'bhimukhīkṛtānāmātmanām, añjanānmalādeva hetoḥ, saṃsāramaṇḍale karmasaṃskārapākānuguṇaṃ bhogalolikā bhogecchā jāyate | nanu nirmala evā''tmā sāṃkhyairabhyupagataḥ, tadayuktam, nirmalasya bhogāsaktyasambhavāt, tatsaṃbhave vā muktasyāpi prasaṅgāt | nanu rāganibandhanā''saktiriṣyate, satyam, rāgo'pi malinasyaivāsaktihetuḥ | yaduktaṃ śrīmatsvāyaṃbhuve- yadyaśuddhirna puṃso'sti saktirbhogeṣu kiṃ kṛtā iti || 3 || atha ko'sau bhogaḥ, kai sādhanaiḥ sādhyate ? ityata āha- īśvarecchāsamāviṣṭajagadbījaparicyutaiḥ | sādhanaiḥ sādhyate bhogo buddhivṛttyanurañjanaḥ || 4 || īśvaro'trānanta eva, tasyaiva māyākṣobhakatvāt | yaduktaṃ śrīmatkiraṇe- śuddhe'dhvani śivaḥ kartā prokto'nanto'site prabhuḥ (vi0 3|27) iti | tadicchayā kṣubdhaṃ yajjagadbījaṃ māyākhyam, tasmāt prasūtairadhāraṇaiḥ sūkṣmadehātmakaiḥ sādhāraṇabhuvanādirūpaiḥ sādhāraṇā'sādhāraṇabhuvanajadehātmabhiśca yaḥ sādhanairbhogo niṣpādyate, sa ca buddhivṛttyanurañjanātmakaḥ | buddhivṛttyā sukhaduḥkhamohādhyavasāyarūpayā ātmacaitanyasya yadanurañjanaṃ sa eva bhogaḥ | anurāgaścātra sukhādhyavasāyākārabuddhivṛttiniṣṭhatayā tatsaṃvittistadanubhava eva, na tu pratibimbātmatā''tmanaḥ, pariṇāmitāprasaṅgāt | taduktaṃ śrīmatsvāyambhuve- bhogao'sya vedanā pusaḥ sukhaduḥkhādilakṣaṇā iti || 4 || tatra bhūtānāṃ tāvadbhogasādhanatāṃ pratipādayati- kṣmājalāgnimarudvyomnāṃ guṇavṛttyakṣabhūmitāḥ | svamātrāpūrapuṣṭānāṃ gamayanti tadaṅgatām || 5 || atra pṛthivyādīnāṃ bhūtānāṃ ye guṇādayasta eva teṣāṃ bhogāṅgatāṃ sādhayanti | tatra guṇā gandhādayaḥ | vṛttayastu dhāraṇādayaḥ | akṣabhūmitā cendriyādhāratvam | etānyapyanantarameva darśayiṣyati | tataśca kṣmādayo guṇairvṛttibhirakṣādhāratayā cātmanāṃ bhogasādhanatāṃ bhajantītyarthaḥ | kīdṛśāṃ kṣmādīnāmityata āha- svamātrāpūrapuṣṭānāmiti | svaiḥ svaiḥ kāraṇabhūtaistanmātrairya āpūraḥ pūraṇam, tena puṣṭānām | akṛtasya karaṇaṃ kṛtasya parivardhanaṃ ca prakṛtikarma yataḥ || 5 || etāni ca bhūtāni svakāraṇaistanmātraiḥ saha sthūlasūkṣmatvenendriyādhārāṇi sthitānītyuktaṃ śrīmanmataṅge- tanmātrāṇīha ghaṭavanmahābhūtāni lepavat || (vi0 19|21) iti | tattvasaṃgrahe'pi- etatkāryaṃ daśadhā karaṇairāviśya kāryate ceṣṭām | avibhutvāt karaṇāni tu kāryamadhiṣṭhāya ceṣṭante || (ślo0 5) iti | ataścaiṣāṃ sūkṣmadehasthānāṃ bhūtānāmindriyādhāratve bāhyaśarīrasthānāṃ ca diha upacaye (1015 a0) iti dhātvarthagatyā dehatvena copacayadharmitve sādhāraṇe sati dhṛtyādayo'sādhāraṇavṛttaya ityāha- karaṇādhāradehatve dhṛtisaṃgrahapaktayaḥ | vyūho'vakāśadānaṃ ca vṛttayo vasudhādiṣu || 6 || tatra dhṛtirdhāraṇaṃ bhūmervṛttiḥ | saṃgraho'vaṣṭambho'mbhasaḥ | paktiḥ pāko'gneḥ | vyūho'vayavaghaṭanaṃ vāyoḥ | avakāśasyāspadasya dānamākāśasya || 6 || atha tadevaiṣāṃ sādhāraṇamindriyādhāratvaṃ sūkṣmadehasthatvenāha- ātivāhikadehasthaṃ karaṇaṃ pravijṛmbhitaiḥ | yoneryonyantaraṃ cāpi yāti puṃbhogasiddhaye || 7 || pumarthadādṛṣṭavaśāt ativāhayatyātmanāṃ karma bhogena nāśayatītyātivāhikaḥ sūkṣmadehaḥ, tatsthameva karaṇamindriyavargaśceṣṭate, avibhutvena nirāśraye ceṣṭānupapatteḥ | sūkṣmadehasthabhūtatanmātrādhāra eva karaṇavargaśceṣṭata ityuktam | kiñca, tatsūkṣmadehasthaṃ karaṇaṃ puruṣārthapradakarmavaśāt tasyaiva puṃso bhogasiddhaye yoneryonyantaraṃ prayāti | yaduktaṃ tattvasaṃgrahe- vasudhādyastattvagaṇaḥ pratipuṃniyataḥ kālānto'yam | karmavaśato bhuvanajadeheṣvayaṃ ca sarveṣu || (ślo0 24-25) iti || 7 || sa ca sūkṣmadehaḥ sūkṣmatvāt piśācādivannāsmadādipratyakṣaḥ, api tu yogipratyakṣagamya ityāha- deho naivātivāhikaḥ | akṣādhāro'kṣagamyo'yamanīśānāṃ piśācavat || 8 || atha bhūtānāṃ guṇānāha- gandhaḥ kṣitau rasaḥ ṣoḍhā madhuraḥ kṣmākabandhakaḥ | śuklādi śuklaṃ bhāsvacca rūpaṃ kṣityādiṣu triṣu || 9 || aśītoṣṇau mahīvāyvoḥ pākajāpākajau pṛthak | jale śītaḥ śikhinyuṣṇasparśo'yaṃ saṃvyavasthitaḥ || 10 || śabdastaddravyajanitaḥ pṛthagbhūtacatuṣṭaye | pratiśabdakasaṃghāto nabhasyevodito budhaiḥ || 11 || tatra gandhaḥ surabhyasurabhirūpaḥ kṣitāveva | rasaḥ kṣmājalayoḥ | tatra kṣitau kaṭvamlalavaṇamadhurakaṣāyatiktarūpaḥ | jale tu madhura eva | rūpaṃ ca kṣmājalāgniṣu | tatra kṣitau śuklaraktapītakṛṣṇādyanekavidham | jale tu śuklameva | agnau bhāsvadrūpam | teṣu savāyuṣu sparśaḥ sthitaḥ | sa ca mahyāṃ vāyau ca pratyekamaśīto'nuṣṇaḥ | kaḥ punarmahīvāyusparśayoḥ parasparaṃ bhedo'ta āha- pākajāpākajau pṛthagiti | mahyāṃ sparśaḥ pākajaḥ, vāyau tvapākaja ityayamevānayorbhedaḥ | asya copalakṣaṇatvād rūpādayo'pi mahīguṇāḥ pākajā eva | jale punaḥ svābhāvikaḥ sparśaḥ śīta eva | agnāvuṣṇa eva | śabdaśca bhūmyādiṣu caturṣu taistaiḥ pārthivādibhirdravyaiḥ parasparamāhatya jātaḥ | nabhasi tu pratiśrukśabdātmakaḥ | nanu vaiśeṣikādibhirāśrayādanyatro(trānu)palabdherākāśaikaguṇaḥ śabda iṣyate, tadayuktam, pratyakṣāgamabādhitatvena hetoḥ kālātyayāpadiṣṭatvāt | yataḥ śabdāśraya eva bheryādau śabdaḥ śrūyate | kiñca, pṛthivyāṃ tāvat kaṭakaṭādikaḥ śabdo dṛśyate, jale chalacchalādiḥ, agnau dhamadhamādiḥ, śakaśakādirvāyau, nabhasi ca pratiśabdātmaka iti | etaccākāśaikaguṇatvaṃ śabdasya vistareṇāsmābhirmṛgendravṛttidīpikāyāṃ pratikṣiptam | uktaṃ ca śrīmanmṛgendre- iti pañcasu śabdo'yaṃ sparśo bhūtacatuṣṭaye | aśītoṣṇo mahīvāyvoḥ śītoṣṇau vāritejasaoḥ || bhasvadagnau jale śuklaṃ kṣitau śuklādyanekadhā | rūpaṃ triṣu raso'mbhassu madhuraḥ ṣaḍvidhaḥ kṣitau || gandhaḥ kṣitāvasurabhiḥ surabhiśca mato budhaiḥ | (vi0 12|27-29) iti || 9-11 || atha uktārthopasaṃhāraḥ- itthaṃ yathoktagandhādivrātopetā dharādayaḥ | abhiprasiddhā lokasya gandhādyāśrayatayā pṛthivyādayo'rthā lokasiddhā ityarthaḥ || eṣāṃ ca bhūtānāmasmadādibāhyendriyaparicchedyaguṇatvād ghaṭādivat kāryatvasiddhestatkāraṇatayā pañca tanmātrāḥ siddhā ityāha- mātrāstairanumānataḥ || 12 || atha guṇagrahaṇādeva tadavyatirekitvād guṇino'pi grahaṇaṃ siddhyatīti darśayituṃ proktānāṃ tāvad bhūtānāṃ guṇebhyo'pṛthagbhāvaṃ sādhayitumāha- citrasvabhāvakāḥ proktā guṇabhinnā dharādayaḥ | kramavyaṅgyā yathā citraṃ paṭe rūpaṃ tu veṣṭite || 13 || uktāḥ pṛthivyādayaḥ | arthād gandhādiguṇaiḥ parasparaṃ bhinnāḥ sthalopalaparvatasaritsamudrādyākārabhedena vicitrasvabhāvāśca dṛśyante | tato'mī veṣṭitapaṭagatacitrarūpavat kramavyaṅgyā eva | nahi pṛthivyādīnāṃ paridṛśyamānāvāntarākārabhedabhinnaṃ sannikṛṣṭaṃ svarūpaṃ tadanuguṇaṃ ca viprakṛṣṭaṃ svarūpaṃ sarvaṃ yugapad grahītuṃ śakyam, api tvindriyairanumānena ca krameṇa vyajyate || 13 || kimataḥ ? ityata āha- viśeṣaṇaviśeṣyatvavyapadeśasya dhībhidām | kramavyaṅgyatvato hetorgocaratvaṃ vrajantyamī || 14 || amī dharādayo'rthāḥ kramavyaṅgyatvāddhetoḥ surabhiriyaṃ pṛthivītyādīnāṃ viśeṣaṇaviśeṣyarūpāṇāṃ dhībhidāṃ jñānabhedānāṃ tadbhāvavyapadeśasya ca viṣayatāṃ prāpnuvanti || 14 || atra ca- nāgṛhītaistu gandhādyairjātucijjāyate matiḥ | dharitryāṃ hi jalādīnāmagrahe'pi prajāyate || 15 || gandhādibhyastato'nanyā jalādibhyaḥ pṛthak ca bhūḥ | hi yasmāt kāraṇāt, viśeṣarūpairgandhādibhirguṇairagṛhītairviśeṣyāyāṃ dharmirūpāyāṃ dharitryāṃ kadācid buddhirnotpadyate, dravyāntareṣu tu jalādiṣvagṛhīteṣvapyutpadyata eva | tasmād gandhādibhyo bhūmirananyā, jalādibhyo'nyaiveti || 15 || evaṃ bhūtāntareṣvapi jñeyamityāha- jalādiṣvevamevāyaṃ yojyo heturmanīṣibhiḥ || 16 || nanu japākusumasannidhāne raktabhāvaṃ bhajan sphaṭikamaṇiḥ śauklyaguṇagrahaṇādṛte'pi gṛhyate, tasmād guṇigrahaṇasya guṇagrahaṇapūrvakatvamasiddhamata āha- saṃsthānaṃ cāpi varṇaṃ ca rūpaṃ dvividhamiṣyate | tasmādasiddhatā nāsti hetorupahite maṇau || 17 || iha hi dravyāṇāṃ varṇavat saṃsthānātmakamapi rūpaṃ guṇa eveṣyate | tasmājjapākusumopahitasyāpi sphaṭikasya grahaṇaṃ śauklyaguṇagrahaṇābhāve'pi vṛttacaturaśrādisaṃsthānagrahaṇapurassarameva bhavatīti dravyagrahaṇasya guṇagrahaṇapūrvakatvaṃ siddhameva | ato'sya hetornāsiddhateti || 17 || itthaṃ bhūtānāṃ bhogāṅgatvaṃ prasādhyādhunā mātrāstairanumānataḥ (ślo0 12) iti prāguktāṃ tanmātrāsiddhiṃ viśeṣayituṃ bhūtānāṃ tāvat kāryatvamanirdeśena darśayati- guṇānāṃ kāryatāsiddhau yo heturabhidhīyate | kṣityādikakalāntānāṃ yojyaḥ kāraṇasiddhaye || 18 || guṇānāmacaitanye satyanekatvād ghaṭādivat kāraṇapūrvakatvamiti vakṣyati | tatastenaiva hetunā pṛthivyādīnāmapi kāryatvasiddhiḥ | tathāhi- paridṛśyamānabhogavaicitryānyathānupapattyā pṛthivyādikakalāntatriṃśattattvātmakaḥ pratyātmaniyataḥ sūkṣmadeho'stītyuktam, āgameṣu ca śrūyate | tatasteṣāṃ pṛthivyādīnāṃ pratipuruṣaniyatatvenācaitanye satyanekatvāt kāraṇapūrvakatvaṃ siddhyatīti || 18 || tatra tāvad bhūtakāraṇatvena tanmātrāsiddhestattadguṇabhedādeva pṛthivyādīnāṃ kramasiddhirityāha- śabdādyekottarādhikyā mātrāstadaviśeṣataḥ | yonayo gaganādīnāṃ kramamicchanti dharmiṇām || 19 || ayamatra tātparyārthaḥ- anabhivyaktaviśeṣaśabdamātrasvarūpaṃ śabdatanmātramākāśasyopādānam, evaṃ tadadhovarti śabdasparśamātrasvarūpaṃ sparśatanmātraṃ vāyoḥ, śabdasparśarūpātmakaṃ rūpatanmātraṃ tejasaḥ, śabdasparśarūparasātmakaṃ rasatanmātraṃ jalasya, śabdādigandhāntapañcaguṇarūpaṃ gandhatanmātraṃ bhūmeriti | akṣarārthastu- gaganādivacchabdādyekottaraṃ guṇādhikyaṃ yāsāṃ tāḥ śabdādyekottarādhikyāḥ | tadaviśeṣato guṇāviśeṣādanabhivyaktaviśeṣaśabdādimātrasvarūpāt teṣāṃ gaganādīnāṃ kramād yonaya upādānabhūtāḥ śabdāditanmātrāḥ, teṣāmeva viśiṣṭaguṇayogināṃ dharmiṇāmākāśādīnāṃ bhūtānāṃ sṛṣṭikramamicchanti, guṇādhikyakrameṇādho'dhobhāvaṃ bhajantyaḥ kāryāṇāmapyadho'dhobhāvaṃ kurvantītyarthaḥ || 19 || kathaṃ punarāsāṃ bhogāṅgatvamata āha- svakāryotpattitatpuṣṭikartṛtā sarvayoniṣu | mātrādyāsu pumarthasya sādhanatvaṃ viniścitam || 20 || akṛtasya karaṇaṃ kṛtasya parivardhanaṃ ca yataḥ sarvopādānānām, tatastanmātrāṇāṃ māyādīnāṃ ca kāryayonīnāṃ bhogasādhanatattvotpādakatvāt tadāpūrakatayā ca bhogatvaṃ siddham || 20 || athendriyāṇāmapi bhogāṅgatvaṃ darśayituṃ prathamaṃ karmendriyasiddhimāha- ānandagamanotsargavacanādānakarmaṇām | upasthapādapāyvāsyapāṇināmāni vai pṛthak || 21 || utsargo malavirekaḥ | ānandādikriyāhetutvenopasthādīni karmendriyāṇi siddhānītyarthaḥ || 21 || kimetānyupasthādīni sthānānyevendriyāṇi netyāha- bhāvābhāvau tu yattantrau pratyekaṃ karmaṇāṃ smṛtau | sthāneṣu satsu tānīha pañca karmendriyāṇi tu || 22 || iha hi keṣāñcit pādādisthānayogināmapi tattadindriyaśaktihīnānāṃ gamanādikriyā na dṛśyate | tasmāt teṣu sthāneṣu satsvapi tāsāṃ kriyāṇāṃ yadadhīnau bhāvābhāvau tāstatrasthāḥ śaktaya eva pṛthak pañcendriyāṇi jñeyāni | ata eva karmendriyāṇi ye necchanti naiyāyikādayaste pratikṣiptāḥ || 22 || nanvevaṃ ced bhrūlatotkṣepādīnāmapi kriyātvādanantatā karmendriyāṇāṃ prasajyate, ata āha- ānandādibhiretaistu karmabhiḥ paribhāṣitaiḥ | karmendriyāṇyato naiṣāmānantyaṃ karmaṇāṃ vaśāt || 23 || bhavedayaṃ doṣo yadyasmābhiḥ śarīraikadeśavṛttīni tānīṣyante | tvagindriyavat teṣāṃ sarvaśarīravyāpakatveneṣṭatvāddhastasyaivāyaṃ bhrūkṣepaṇādivyāpāraḥ pāyvāderiva jīrṇavirecanādyātmaka iti bhrūpekṣādīnāmapyānandādiṣvevāntarbhāvānna tadbhedādatrendriyānantyasiddhiḥ | kiñca, etaireva ānandādibhiḥ prāguktaiḥ pradhānabhūtaiḥ karmabhiḥ pañcaiva karmendriyāṇi siddhyantīti nānantatā karmendriyāṇām, tattatsaṃjñāstu teṣāṃ tatra tatra viśeṣādhiṣṭhānādityavirodhaḥ || 23 || idānīṃ buddhīndriyasiddhimāha- śabdādigrahaṇe puṃsaḥ karturnākaraṇā kṛtiḥ | na caikakaraṇā yasmādapekṣā na nivartate || 24 || śabdādigrahaṇasyāpi kriyātvācchidikriyāvat karaṇaṃ vinā notpattiryuktā | na ca tāḥ pañcāpi kriyāḥ śrotrāderekasmādeva karaṇādutpadyante | yasmāt karaṇāntarāpekṣā na nivartate, śabdagrahaṇakaraṇabhūte śrotre satyapi sparśādigrahaṇe tvagādikaraṇāntarāpekṣitā dṛśyata iti bhāvaḥ || 24 || kāni tāni karaṇānītyata āha- karaṇāni śrutistvak ca cakṣurjihvā ca nāsikā | tataśca śabdādigrahaṇānyathānupapattyā tānyanumīyanta ityabhiprāyeṇāha- śabdādyālocanaṃ teṣāṃ vṛttiḥ śabdādisannidhau || 25 || sannibheti pāṭhe śabdādibāhyākārasadṛśamāntaramākāramadhyavasāyinyā buddhyā saha mano'dhiṣṭhitānīndriyāṇi vidyāyā viṣayatvenopasthāpayantītyarthaḥ | taṃ cendriyopasthāpitaṃ buddhyā'dhyavasitamākāramantaraṅgeṇa vidyākhyena karaṇena puruṣo gṛhṇātīti vakṣyāmaḥ | uktaṃ cānyatra- (pūrvatanī 78 pṛṣṭhasthā dvitīyā ṭippaṇī draṣṭavyā |) buddhyā'dhvavasitamarthaṃ puruṣaścetayate iti || 25 || na caitāni karṇaśaṣkulyādisthānānyevendriyāṇi, api tu tatsthāḥ śaktaya eva, yataḥ sthānavatāmapi karmavaśāt tacchaktivaikalyānna śabdādijñānamutpadyata ityāha- etāni sthānamātrāṇi buddhyakṣāṇīti mā kṛthāḥ | sthāneṣu satsu vaikalyānna saṃvijjñāyate yataḥ || 26 || athāntaḥkaraṇasiddhirucyate- icchāsaṃrambhabodhākhyā noktaiḥ siddhyanti sādhanaiḥ | tatsiddhau karaṇānyantarmano'haṅkārabuddhayaḥ || 27 || iha hi pṛthivyādīnāṃ tattvānāṃ svakāryaireva siddheḥ kāryāntarahetutve pramāṇābhāvād anekatattvaparikalpanābhāvaprasaṅgācca yānīcchādisiddhau sādhanāni, tāni mano'haṅkārabuddhyākhyānyāntarāṇi karaṇānītyantaḥkaraṇasiddhiḥ | tatrecchāśabdenaikāgratāparaparyāyo'vadhānātmakaḥ saṅkalpo vivakṣitaḥ | sa manaso vṛttiḥ | saṃrambhaśca prayatno'haṅkārasya | bodhaścādhyavasāyo buddheriti | etacca prapañcayiṣyate || 27 || eṣāṃ cāntaḥkaraṇabahiṣkaraṇānāṃ parasparopakāreṇa puruṣārthasādhanatvamāha- antarmukhāni bāhyāni saṃbhūyecchādisādhanam | śibikodvāhinaravadekāpāyena tāstataḥ || 28 || antarmukhāgatānāṃ ca citerarthaṃ prakurvatām | bāhyārthaṃ buddhibhiḥ sārdhaṃ na syuricchādikāḥ kriyāḥ || 29 || yato'ntarmukhāni bāhyāni ca karaṇāni śibikodvāhinaravat saṃbhūyecchādīnāṃ kriyāṇāṃ sādhanaṃ bhavanti, bāhyārthālocanapūrvāṇāmevā'dhyavasāyādīnāṃ darśanāt, avadhānādinā binā bāhyārthagrahaṇāsaṃbhavācca | tataściterātmano'rthaṃ bhogākhyaṃ prayojanaṃ sādhayatāmantarmukhāgatānāmantaḥkaraṇānāṃ caśabdād bahiṣkaraṇānāṃ vā'nyatarasyāpi vargasyāpāyena tiṣṭhatāṃ satāṃ tā icchādikāḥ kriyāḥ śabdādibāhyārthabuddhayo vā puruṣārthasādhanatayā notpadyante, yathā śibikodvāhinormadhyādekasyāpāye tadudvahanakriyā na dṛśyate || 28-29 || atra parābhiprāyamāha- anye'ntaḥkaraṇaṃ prāṇamicchanti vyaktacetanam | anye lokāyataikadeśāḥ praṇayanādivṛttibhirjīvanādihetubhūtaṃ bhūtapariṇāmaviśeṣādabhivyaktacetanaṃ prāṇākhyamāntaraṃ vāyumevāntaḥkaraṇamāhuḥ | asya dūṣaṇamāha- prayatnairna vinā so'sti tatsiddhau karaṇaṃ tu kim || 30 || prāṇātmanastāvad vāyoḥ kadācitkatvena prayatnapūrvikā pravṛttirdṛśyate | yadāhuḥ- preraṇākarṣaṇe vāyoḥ prayatnena vinā kutaḥ (pra0 vā0 1|54) iti | tataḥ saṃrambhātmakaprayatnasiddhau kenāpi karaṇena bhāvyamityantaḥkaraṇasiddhiḥ | vakṣyati ca- saṃrambho'haṅkṛtervṛttiḥ (ślo0 33) iti || 30 || kiñca, caitanyotpattirapyasya vāyorbhavatā'bhyupagateti tasyāḥ karaṇāntaraṃ vācyamityāha- caitanyodgārabhāro'yamasyāntaḥkaraṇaṃ vada | vyaktaṃ na cāsya caitanyaṃ vāyutvād bāhyavāyuvat || 31 || na jaḍasya caitanyābhivyaktiryuktā, sarvasya caitanyābhivyaktiprasaṅgādityasya na caitanyaṃ vāyutvād bāhyavāyuvaditi || 31 || itthaṃ praṇāntaḥkaraṇapakṣaṃ nirasya prāguktādantaḥkaraṇatrayānmanaḥ sādhanāyāha- icchāhetvāśu sañcārī bahirdevapravartakam | mano yasyāśubhāvācca karturna yugapanmatiḥ || 32 || devanād dyotanād devaśabdenendriyāṇyucyante | matiśabdena ca tattadarthaviṣayaṃ jñānam | tataścāyamarthaḥ- iha hyātmana indriyārthasannikarṣe satyapi sarvāṇīndriyāṇi yugapanna pravartante | kiñcideva, na ca tatsarvadā pravartate | tatastatpravṛttau yatkaraṇaṃ tadicchāyāḥ saṅkalpātmano'vadhānasya hetubhūtaṃ bāhyendriyapravartakaṃ ca mano boddhavyam | ata eva ca tadāntareṇa antaḥkaraṇādhiṣṭhānena sukhādisaṅkalpena ca bāhyendriyādhiṣṭhānena ca dvidhā'dhikārītyuktaṃ śrīmanmataṅge- dvidhā'dhikāri taccittaṃ bhokturbhogopapādakam | bahiṣkaraṇabhāvena svocitena yataḥ sadā || indriyāṇāṃ tu sāmarthyaṃ saṅkalpenātmavartinā | karotyantaḥsthitaṃ bhūyastato'ntaḥkaraṇaṃ manaḥ || (vi0 18|81-82) iti | śrīmanmṛgendre'pi- devapravartakaṃ śīghracāri saṅkalpadharmi ca | manaḥ (vi0 12|7) iti | nanu svādusurabhyabhijātamarmaraśabdavadabhirūpadīrghataraśaṣkulyā-svādane yugapat pañcajñānotpattirdṛśyate, tanna, yatastatrāpyutpalapatraśatavyaktibhedavadlakṣyasūkṣmakramāṇyeva pañcajñānānyutpadyante | ata eva etadāśu saṃcārītyuktam || 32 || pañcakarmakṛto vāyorjīvanāya pravartakaḥ | saṃrambho'haṅkṛtervṛttiḥ jīvanāya śarīradhāraṇārthaṃ praṇayanāpanayanādipañcakarmakṛtastattadvṛttibhedena prāṇāpānādisaṃjñābhājo vāyoḥ pravartakaḥ saṃrambhātmako yaḥ prayatnaḥ, so'haṅkāravṛttirityahaṅkārasiddhiḥ | yaduktaṃ śrīmanmṛgendre- atha vyaktāntarād buddhergarvo'bhūt karaṇaṃ citaḥ | saṃrambhād yasya ceṣṭante śārīrāḥ pañca vāyavaḥ || (vi0 11|20) iti | tatra praṇayanaṃ sūkṣmadehasyordhvādhonayanaṃ prāṇasya vyāpāraḥ | apanayanamadhaḥprāpaṇaṃ malāderapānasya | annādeḥ rasarūpasya sarvagātreṣu sāmyena nayanaṃ samānasya | vinamanamaṅgānāṃ vyānasya | unnayanamāntarasya dhvanervarṇatāprāpaṇamudānasya | pañcakarmakṛta iti ca prādhānyāduktam | udgārādikartṛtvena cāsya vāyoḥ śravaṇāt | yaduktaṃ śrīmatkālottare- udgāre nāga ityuktaḥ kūrma unmīlane sthitaḥ | kṛkarastu kṣute caiva devadatto vijṛmbhaṇe || dhanañjayaḥ sthito ghoṣe mṛtasyāpi na muñcati || (10|12-13) iti || kiñca, buddhikāryādayaṃ ghaṭa ityādigrāhyādhyavasāyarūpāt pratyarthaṃ bhinnarūpāt pratyayādatyantabhedena bhāsamānaḥ sarvārthagrahaṇe'pyekarūpo'hamiti grāhakādhyavasāyarūpaḥ pratyayo'haṅkārasyaiva vṛttirityāha- anyo'rthapratyayo'paraḥ || 33 || ahaṅkāravṛttyātmakapratyayo'rthapratyayādanya ityarthaḥ || 33 || nanu śabdagrahaṇādayaḥ śrotrādīnāmasādhāraṇavṛttayaḥ, saṃrambhastu teṣāmevendriyāṇāṃ sādhāraṇavṛttiriti kimanyenāhaṅkāreṇa kalpitena ? ata āha- na devagrāmasāmānyavṛttiḥ saṃrambha iṣyate | yato'nyatamavaikalye jāyate satyahaṅkṛtiḥ || 34 || sādhāraṇakāryakartṛṇāmekāpāye tatkriyānutpatteruktatvāt tadvaikalye'pi jāyamāno'yaṃ saṃrambho'haṃpratyayo vāhaṅkārasyaiva kārya ityarthaḥ || 34 || atraiva prasaṅgād buddhīndriyakarmendriyatanmātravargāṇāṃ manaḥsahitānāmahaṅkārādevotpattiriti darśayitumāha- anye cāhaṅkṛtiskandhāstrivargajanakāstrayaḥ | taijasādikanāmānaḥ kramaśaḥ sāttvikādayaḥ || 35 || sattvarajastamobahulāḥ sāttvikarājasatāmasāstrayo'haṅkāraskandhāḥ kramāt taijasavaikārikabhūtādikasaṃjñābhājo bhavanti | sāttvikāditvaṃ caiṣāṃ sattvādiguṇabāhulyāt || 35 || nāmiśraṃ pariṇamata iti nyāyena guṇāntarasaṃsargo'pyeṣāṃ vidyate yataḥ, tatra kutaḥ keṣāmutpattirityata āha- samano buddhidevānāṃ gaṇo yasmāt prakāśakaḥ | tasmāt sa sāttvikājjātaḥ svānurūpādahaṅkṛtaḥ || 36 || atra naiyāyikamatamanūdya dūṣayati- anye tu buddhidevānāṃ bhautikatvaṃ prapedire | viṣayāṇāṃ tu niyamādasiddhādeva hetutaḥ || 37 || evaṃ hi te manyante- śabdaikagrāhakaṃ śrotram, sparśaikagrāhikā tvagityādiniyataviṣayatvādindriyāṇāṃ tāni śabdādyādhārākāśādibhūtajanyāni | āhaṅkārikatve tu teṣāmekakāraṇatvādekarūpatā syānna tu pratyekaṃ viṣayaniyamasiddhiriti | tadidaṃ tairasiddhādeva hetoḥ kalpyate, teṣāṃ viṣayaniyamasya prakṛtiniyamasādhakasyā'siddheḥ | niyataviṣayatve hīndriyāṇāṃ tāni svasvakāraṇānyeva bhūtāni guṇasahitāni gṛhṇīran | yāvatā dravyāntarāṇi tu tadguṇāśca cakṣurādinā gṛhyante || 37 || tathāhi- caturdravyagatān sparśāṃścaturo mārutā tvacā | dravyāṇyaniyataṃ caiva gṛhṇāti marutā samam || 38 || tvagindriyaṃ tāvad vāyavyatvenā'bhyupagataṃ vāyusahitāni pṛthivyaptejāṃsi tadgatāṃśca sparśān gṛhṇāti || 38 || kiñca- trīṇi dravyāṇi cakṣuśca teṣu rūpāṇi caiva hi | ato na niyamo'kṣāṇāṃ viṣayāṇāṃ ca kalpyate || 39 || dūṣaṇāntaramāha- bhautikatvācca niyame karmasāmānyayoḥ sphuṭam | devebhyo buddhayo na syuḥ samavāye ca dehinām || 40 || bhautikatvasādhanāyā'kṣāṇāṃ viṣayaniyame'bhyupagamyamāne bhūtebhyo guṇebhyaśca vyatirekeṇa bhavadbhirabhyupagatānāṃ karmasāmānyasamavāyānāṃ padārthānāṃ buddhayastebhyo jāyamānā na bhaveyuḥ || 40 || yadapyuktamāhaṅkārikatve tulye kathamakṣāṇāṃ kāryabheda iti, tadapyutpattibhedādikṣuvikārāṇāṃ guḍakhaṇḍaśarkarādīnāmiva bhaviṣyatīti matvā śrotrādīnāṃ śabdādigrahaṇaniyāmakā-pekṣāyāmapyasmābhiḥ puruṣārthadāyakaṃ karmaiva niyāmakamiṣyata ityāha- na cāpyahaṅkṛto janma niyame kāraṇaṃ mama | pumarthadātṛ yatkarma kāraṇaṃ tad bhaveritam || 41 || nāsmābhirahaṅkārajatvameva viṣayaniyame kāraṇamiṣyate, kintu śivādhiṣṭhitaṃ karma cetyarthaḥ || 41 || kāyarandhraviśiṣṭe nabhobhāge śabdāvadyotake'bhyupagamya-māne nāsārandhrādīnāmapi śravaṇendriyatvaprasaṅgatayā śravaṇākāśasyaiva śabdagrāhakatvaniyame karmaivā'dṛṣṭākhyaṃ niyāmakaṃ bhautikendriyavādinā'pīṣyata ityāha- nānāśrutibhayāt kḷpte khe pareṇāpi kāraṇam | śabdabhogasya niyame tatpradaṃ karma bhāṣitam || 42 || khe kāyākāśe śabdagrāhake kalpyamāne nānāśrutitvaprasaṅgabhayācchravaṇākāśasyaiva śabdagrahaṇaniyame puruṣārthapadaṃ karmaiva kāraṇaṃ bhavatā'pīṣyata ityanvayaḥ || 42 || itthaṃ karmendriyāṇāmāhaṅkārikatvamāha- rājasād vaikṛtād vargaḥ karmākṣāṇāṃ tu karmakṛt | jātaḥ kāryasya yeneha kāraṇānuvidhāyitā || 43 || rajasaḥ pravṛttihetutvād rājasād vaikārikākhyādahaṅkāraskandhāt kriyāhetuḥ karmendriyavargo jātaḥ | yasmāt kāraṇānuvidhāyitvaṃ kārye dṛśyate || 43 || ata eva sattvasya prakāśatvāt prakāśasya buddhīndriyavargasya sāttvikādutpattiruktā | anyathā bhinnasvabhāvayoranayorvargayoreka-smādevotpattyabhyupagame kāraṇāniyamalakṣaṇo'navasthādoṣaḥ prasajyata ityāha- vinivārayituṃ śakyā nāvyavasthā vikārajā | sāttvikāt saṃbhave kḷpte sāttvarājasavargayoḥ || 44 || ata eva- mātrāsaṅgho'pyahaṅkārād vargadvayavilakṣaṇaḥ | prakāśyastāmasastasmājjāto bhūtādisaṃjñakāt || 45 || idānīṃ buddheradhyavasāyādihetutvamāha- prakāśo viṣayākāro devadvāro na vā kvacit | puṃbodhavyaktibhūmitvād bodho vṛttirmatermatā || 46 || indriyadvāro'yaṃ ghaṭa ityādibāhyaviṣayādhyavasāyarūpa- prakāśastadanapekṣaścāntarasmṛtipratibhādiprakāśo vāśabdād vakṣyamāṇo bhāvapratyayalakṣaṇaśca prakāśaḥ puruṣabodhasya vyaktisthānatvād bodhākhyo materbuddhervṛttirjñeyā | tato'dhyavasāyasmṛtyādiliṅgā buddhiḥ siddhyatīti | taduktaṃ śrīmanmṛgendre- iti buddhiprakāśo'yaṃ bhāvapratyayalakṣaṇaḥ | bodha ityucyate bodhavyaktibhūmitayā paśoḥ || (vi0 11|8) iti || 46 || eṣa ca buddhibodhastrividha ityāha- kḷptirmatiḥ smṛtiśceti tatra kḷptiḥ kalpanaṃ pratibhetyarthaḥ | matiśca mananaṃ jñānamadhyavasāya iti yāvat || itthamicchādikāryabhedādantaḥkaraṇabhedaḥ siddha ityupasaṃharati- jātā bhinnārthavācakāḥ | icchāsaṃrambhabodhākhyāstenāntaḥkaraṇa tridhā || 47 || smṛtyādīnāmavāntarabhede'pi bodhakatvenaikārthatvād buddhivṛttitvam, icchādayastu vṛttayo bhinnārthatvād bhinnakāraṇā iti bhāvaḥ || 47 || nanu pṛthivyādīnāṃ viṣayatvena bhogyatvādindriyāṇāṃ ca tadgrahaṇahetutvādastu bhogasādhanatā, buddhestu indriyārthasanni-karṣādātmanyutpadyamānāyāḥ saṃvedanarūpatvānna bhogasādhanatā, api tvātmaguṇataiveti naiyāyikādayaḥ, ata āha- tulye guṇānvitatve tu saṃvedyaṃ kiñcidiṣyate | buddhiścāpi hyasaṃvedyā dhanyā tārkikatā tava || 48 || ayamabhiprāyaḥ- dvividho'tra bodho'dhyavasāyātmako'nadhyavasāyātmakaśca | tatra yo'dhyavasāyātmakaḥ, sa sarvadā grāhakarūpeṇaiva bhāsamānatvādātmanaḥ svabhāva eva | yastvanadhyavasāyarūpaḥ, sa utpattyapavargayogitvena bhāsamānatvānna puṃsaḥ svabhāvaḥ, nityasyānityasvabhāvatvāyogāt, tatsvabhāvatve cānityatvaprasaṅgāt | na ca nityo'nubhūyate, tato na puṃsaḥ svabhāva iti | yasya saḥ svabhāvaḥ sā buddhirbhāvānāmadhyavaseyatotpādikā dharmajñānādyaṣṭaguṇā buddhiriti | tataśca viṣayādhyavasāyarūpatvād bhāvapratyayātmanā sattvādiguṇatrayānvitena svarūpeṇa bhogyatvācca buddherapi saṃvedyataiva, na tvātmaguṇatvam | taduktaṃ tattvasaṃgrahe- buddhirviṣayākārā sukhādirūpā samāsato bhogyam (ślo0 13) iti | prayogaścātra bhavati- buddhirapi saṃvedyaiva, sattvādiguṇānvayāt, pṛthivyādivaditi | karaṇatvaṃ cendriyavadasyā viṣayādhyavasāyahetutvāt siddhamityuktam || 48 || nanu dharmādīnāṃ bhāvānāmapyasmābhirātmaguṇatva-miṣyate, tadayuktam, teṣāmātmasaṃskārakatvāyogāt | tathāhi- jyotiṣṭomādikarmasaṃskārastāvannātmani saṃbhavati, avikāritvāt, karmaṇāṃ ca kṛṣyādīnāmātmasaṃskāratvādṛṣṭeḥ, api tu jaḍa eva | yatra tāni saṃskāraṃ kurvanti sā buddhiḥ | evaṃ jñānādisaṃskāre'pi vācyam, tadbalādeva svapnasmṛtipratibhādāvasatyapyarthe ullekho dṛśyate yataḥ, ataśca- antarbahiśca karaṇaṃ sākṣād bhogasya sādhanam | bhogyaṃ vinā na bhogo'stītyato bhogasya sādhanam || 49 || āntaro bāhyaśca karaṇagrāmo bhogasya sukhaduḥkhādisaṃveda-nātmanaḥ sākṣāt karaṇam | yaduktaṃ śrīmatsvāyambhuve- bhogo'sya vedanā puṃsaḥ sukhaduḥkhādilakṣaṇā iti | sa ca bhogaḥ srakcandanādibhogyaṃ vinā na syāditi tadgrahaṇapūrvakasya sukhādyadhyavasāyasyāpi sādhanamiṣyate || 49 || etadeva dṛṣṭāntena prakaṭayati- sainikān vijayāyeha prayuṅkte nṛpatiryathā | prayuṅkte mahadādīni bodhādyarthamaṇustathā || 50 || sainikasthe jaye rājñaḥ kartṛtvaṃ tu yathā tathā | buddhyādisaṃsthe bodhādau puṃsaḥ kartṛtvamiṣyate || 51 || svātmārthaṃ sainikānāṃ tu vijayo neti te yathā | sādhanaṃ vijayasyeṣṭāstathaiva mahadādayaḥ || 52 || teṣāmapi hi bodhādyaṃ svārthaṃ neti viniścitam | karaṇānāmacetanatvāt tadvṛttīnāṃ na svārthatvam, api tu cetanapuruṣārthataiveti bhāvaḥ || 50-52 || tato bodhādivṛttīnāṃ sādhanaṃ mahadādayaḥ || 53 || adhunā bhogyaṃ vibhajati- mohaduḥkhasukhākāro rūpākhyastadbhavo dvidhā | bauddho bodhaḥ paraṃ bhogyaṃ māyādi ca tadarthataḥ || 54 || udbhūtaguṇatvena mohādihetutvānmohādyākāro rūpasaṃjño dharmādibhāvavargaḥ, tadupādānaḥ siddhyādipratyayavargaśca dvividho'yaṃ bauddho bodhaḥ puṃsaḥ paramavyavahitaṃ bhogyam māyādikaṃ bhuvanādivastu tadanvayatastadarthatvādbhogādhikaraṇa- tvāt paramparayā bhogyamiti || 54 || ko'sau rūpākhya ityata āha- adharmāditrayaṃ rāgo dharmādi ca catuṣṭayam | tamorajaḥsattvamayaṃ rūpaṃ tatkarmajaṃ matau || 55 || adharmājñānānaiśvaryākhyaṃ rūpaṃ tāmasam, rāgastvavairāgyākhyaṃ rājasam, dharmajñānavairāgyaiśvaryākhyaṃ sāttvikamityevamaṣṭavidhaṃ rūpaṃ buddhau guṇatvena sthitaṃ karmataścopādānājjātam | tattvabhuvanaśarīrādi tu karmaṇaiva sahakāriṇā māyākhyādupādānāt sākṣāt paramparayā cotpannamityuktaṃ śrīmatsvāyambhuvādau || 55 || ete ca- atyantocchedato muktāvabhivyakteśca sarvataḥ | paṭādibodhāvaitatyādātmano na guṇā guṇāḥ || 56 || yato dharmādīnāṃ mokṣe'tyantocchedaḥ parairapīṣyate, yataścātmasvabhāvasya jñānakriyātmano nityasya vyāpakasya muktau sarvato vyāpakatvenābhivyaktiḥ śrūyate, yasmācca paṭādijñānānāmadhyavasāyarūpāṇāmavaitatyamavyāpakatvaṃ dṛśyate, tasmādanityā avyāpakāścādharmādayo nityasya vyāpakasyātmano guṇā bhavituṃ nārhanti, tatsamavāye tasya pariṇāmitvādidoṣaprasaṅgāt | ete cādharmādayaḥ sāṃsiddhikavainayikaprākṛtabhedāt trividhā ātmana utpadyante | yaduktaṃ śrīmanmṛgendre- sāṃsiddhikā vainayikāḥ prākṛtāśca bhavantyaṇoḥ || viśiṣṭadharmasaṃskārasamuddīpitacetasām | guṇaḥ sāṃsiddhiko bhāti dehāpāye'pi pūrvavat || lokadhīguruśāstrebhyo bhāti vainayiko guṇaḥ | samarjito vainayiko manovāktanuceṣṭayā || prākṛto dehasaṃyoge vyaktaḥ svapnādibodhavat | (vi0 10|26-29) iti || 56 || ataścaivaṃ trividhebhyo dharmādibhyaḥ phalabhedānāha- eṣāmadhogatirbandho vighātaḥ saṃsṛtiḥ kramāt | svargo muktiḥ prakṛtibhāvo vighātaśca phalāni ca || 57 || bhavaḥ sthānāparādho'tha vighno bhogānatikramaḥ | vaśyordhvasthitiḥ saddṛṣṭibhṛttvaṃ bhogāspṛhā phalam || 58 || svacintiteṣu vā vighno rūpe sāṃsiddhike phalam | vinayaprākṛte rūpe pūrvoktaphalasaṃgrahaḥ || 59 || vainayikebhyaḥ prākṛtebhyaścādharmādibhyaḥ kramādadhogatyādīni phalāni bhavanti | sāṃsiddhikebhyastu bhavādīni | tatrā'dhogatirnarakaprāptiḥ | bandho'nātmanyātmābhimānitādiḥ | saṃsṛtistiryagādiyoniprāptiḥ | muktiśca darśanāntaramokṣaḥ, paramukterdīkṣāphalatvena mokṣakārikāsu vakṣyamāṇatvāt | prakṛtibhāvaḥ prakṛtilayaḥ | bhavaḥ saṃsāraḥ | sthānāparādhaḥ svasthānānnyakkāraḥ | bhogānatikramo bhogecchā | vaśyordhvasthitiḥ vaśyānāṃ svapadādhaḥsthānigāmadhiṣṭhānam | saddṛṣṭibhṛttvaṃ tattadviṣayasamyagjñānayogaḥ | śeṣaṃ sugamam || 57-59 || itthaṃ bhāvān vicārya pratyayān vyācaṣṭe- vyaktāvyaktajñasaṃbuddhiḥ siddhiḥ samprati siddhyati | rāgamātrānuliptāṅgād dharmādisamudāyataḥ || 60 || iha hi buddhau vāsanātvena sthitā dharmādayo'ṣṭau bhāvā ucyante | yadāhuḥ- bhāvayanti yato liṅgaṃ tena bhāvāḥ prakīrtitāḥ (pau0) iti | ta eva prakarṣāvasthāṃ prāptāḥ sthūlena rūpeṇa bhogyadaśāmāpannāḥ saṃsāriṇāṃ pratyāyanāt pratyayāḥ kathyante | taduktam- pratyāyayanti kṣetrajñaṃ pratyayāstena kīrtitāḥ (pau0) iti | ataśca vairāgyeṇa rājaseneṣadyuktāt sāttvikād dharmādibhāvacatuṣṭayāt siddhirutpadyate | sā ca vyaktasya guṇāderavyaktasya ca pradhānasya jñasya ca puruṣasya saṃbuddhistadviṣayaṃ jñānameva prakarṣāvasthāṃ prāptā siddhirucyate | uktaṃ ca- puṃprakṛtyādiviṣayā buddhiryā siddhiratra sā (mṛ0 vi0 11|2) iti | tatra vyaktāvyaktaviṣaye buddhibodhe tatprakāśakatvenātyantaṃ viviktaḥ puruṣaḥ svayamevāvabhāsate, yadāhuḥ- tadā draṣṭuḥ svarūpe'vasthānam (yo0 sū0 1|3) iti; na tu buddhiprakāśyatayā, bhogyatvādidoṣaprasaṅgāt | yadvakṣyati mokṣakārikāsu- pariṇāmī pumān bhogyaḥ prāptastadgocaro yadi (ślo0 105) iti || 60 || dharmādirūpasaṃpṛktā pāpāditritayodbhavā | tuṣṭiḥ kṛtārthavijñānamanayā''tmagrahe sati || 61 || sāttvikairdharmādibhirīṣatsaṃpṛktādadharmāditrayāt tāmasāt tuṣṭirutpadyate | sā ca tuṣṭiḥ prāguktayā bhūtatanmātrādijñāna-rūpayā siddhyā tattaddarśanoktena svarūpeṇātmano grahaṇe satyadhastanaviṣayād vairāgyādakṛtārthasyāpi kṛtārtho'smītyutpadyamānā buddhistuṣṭirucyate | yacchrūyate- tuṣṭirnurakṛtārthasya kṛtārtho'smīti yā matiḥ (mṛ0 vi0 11|2) iti || 61 || adharmāditrayājjātā rāgaleśānurañjitāt | aśaktirdevavaikalyādasāmarthyaṃ śubhādiṣu || 62 || śubhaśabdenātropasthendriyavyāpāraṃ āhlāda ucyate | tadādiṣu indriyavaikalyāt tadupalakṣitaśarīravaikalyādvā klaibyabādhiryādirūpaṃ yadasāmarthyam, seyamaśaktistāmasād vargād rājaseneṣatsaṃpṛktād bhavati | uktaṃ ca- aśaktirapravṛttatvāt tāmasī duḥkhabhāvataḥ | rājasyapi guṇo dṛṣṭaḥ kārye kāraṇasaṃśrayaḥ || (mṛ0 vi0 11|6) iti || 62 || tasmādevāyathāvastu vijñānaṃ vītarāgataḥ | īṣad dharmādisaṃpṛktādabhivyakto viparyayaḥ || 63 || tasmāt tāmasavargād rājasahīnāt sāttvikateṣadyuktādayathār-thagrahaṇarūpo viparyayastamomohamahāmohatāmisrāndhatāmisra-lakṣaṇo jāyate | yacchrūyate- kiñcitsāmānyato'nyatra matiranyā viparyayaḥ (mṛ0 vi0 11|3) iti || 63 || itthamatisaṃkṣepeṇoktaṃ bhāvapratyayātmakaṃ buddhibodhamupasaṃharati- leśokto buddhidharmo'yam eṣāṃ ca bhāvapratyayānāṃ prapañcaḥ śrīmanmataṅgādau vistareṇa darśitaḥ prakāśitaścāsmābhirmṛgendravṛttidīpikāyāmiti tata evāvadhāryaḥ | granthavistarabhayāttu nātra likhyate || ayaṃ ca- cetanenopabhujyate | bhogyatvāditi śeṣaḥ || bhogyatvameva sādhayati- bhogyatvaṃ cāsya saṃsiddhaṃ yenotpanno'nubhūyate || 64 || sa cāpyanubhavo bhogo bhoktāraṃ gamayatyalam | asya bauddhasya jñānasyotpattyapavargayogitvena bhogyatvameva, na tu bhoktṛtvam, tasya sarvadā grāhakarūpeṇa sthirasyaiva svasaṃvedanasiddhatvādityuktam || 64 || ataśca- sādhayitrā vinā yasmāt siddhirneha samīhitā || 65 || iha hi buddhicaitanyavādibhirbauddhairbhoktṛtvenābhyupagata-syāsya bauddhasya jñānasyāsthiratvena ghaṭādivadacetanatvāt kālāntarabhāvikarmaphalabhoktṛtvāsaṃbhavāduktavadbhogyatvācca sa tattadviṣayasukhādyanubhavarūpo bhoga eva bhoktāraṃ sādhayati | yato bhogakriyāsiddhirbhoktāraṃ ceṣṭamānamantareṇa na saṃbhavati, bhogasyāpi kriyātvāt | tatkartṛtvenāpyātmasiddhiriti bhāvaḥ | samīhitā, abhīṣṭetyarthaḥ || 65 || atra codayati- na vinā dṛṣṭasaṃvādamanumānasya mānatā | iha hi dhūmenānumito'gnirāsīdatā pratyakṣīkriyata iti tasyānumānasya pramāṇāntarasaṃvādo dṛśyate | ata eva tasya prāmāṇyam || cakramurdhādau dhūmāderiva sādhyavyabhicārādarśanāt tataścātrāpyanubhavātmano jñānasyaiva darśanād jñātṛjñānayorākārabhedānupalambhād bhogād bhoktranumānasyāpi vyabhicāraśaṅkayā pramāṇatvābhāvānna bhokturjñānavyatiriktasyātmanaḥ siddhiriti saugatāḥ | yadāhuḥ- ekamevedaṃ saṃvidrūpaṃ sarṣaviṣādādyanekākāravivartaṃ paśyāmaḥ | tatra yatheṣṭaṃ saṃjñāḥ kriyantām iti | tadayuktamityāha- dṛṣṭasya kena saṃvādo yena tasyāsti mānatā || 66 || ayamabhiprāyaḥ- bhogasya viṣayasaṃvedanātmano'nubhavasya bāhyaviṣayāsannidhāne'pi suṣuptyādāvāntaradehasparśamātraviṣayatvena sthiratayaiva bhāsamānatvāt sthiratvena svasaṃvedanapratyakṣasiddho grāhakarūpo ātmetyuktam | na ca jñānasya kṣaṇikasya svātmani kriyāvirodhena sthairyādhyāropo yuktaḥ | yadapyuktam- akṣaṇikasya kramayaugapadyābhyāmarthakriyāvirodhāt yatsat tatsarvaṃ kṣaṇikamiti, tadapi na, akṣaṇikasyaiva maṇyādeḥ kraṃeṇa ghaṭādīn bhāvānavabhāsayato yugapaccaikagṛhagatāṃstāṃstāṃstānarthān prakāśayato'nubhavasiddhatvāt | kṣaṇikasya cotpattikāla eva naśyato'nekakṣaṇanirvartyakriyānuṣṭhānākṣamatvādityādi vistareṇa śrīmanmataṅgavṛttyādāvācāryaiḥ sādhitamiti || 66 || tataścātmanaḥ svasaṃvedanasiddhatve'pyanumeyatvamabhyupagamyocyate - neha pramāṇasaṃvādaḥ pratyakṣasya pramāṇataḥ | nātra pramāṇasya pramāṇantarasaṃvādāpekṣā, pratyakṣasya pramāṇāntarasaṃvādābhāve'pyanadhigataviṣayajñānajanakatvena prāmāṇyāt | tadāhuḥ - anadhigatārthagantṛ pramāṇam iti | kathaṃ punaścakramūrdhādau vyabhicāro'ta āha - anvayavyatirekābhyāṃ vyabhicāranirākṛtiḥ || 67 || yasya dhūmāderyenā'vinābhāvalakṣaṇaḥ saṃbandho'nvayavyatirekābhyāṃ niścitaḥ, na tasya tatra vyabhicāro dṛśyate | suvivecitasya dhūmasyā'gnāviva | cakramūrdhādijanyasya tu svarūpāvivekena dhūmatvabhrāntiḥ | tataścātrāpi kriyāyāḥ sarvatra kartṛpūrvakatvadarśanād bhogakriyayā bhoktā'numīyate || 67 || bhavadbhirapi svadehe buddhipūrvakatvena siddhāt kāryādivyavahārāt paraśarīre buddhiḥ pramāṇāntarasaṃvādaṃ vinā'pyanumānenā'numīyata ityāha - dehadharmasya mānatve kāraṇaṃ buddhiriṣyate | dehadharmasya ceṣṭādyātmano mānatve hetutve sati tena paraśarīre tadddheturbuddhiḥ sādhyata ityarthaḥ | yadāhuḥ - buddhiḥpūrvā kriyāṃ dṛṣṭvā svadehe'nyatra tadgrahāt | jñāyate dhīḥ iti || ataśca rūpādidarśanānyathānupapattyā cakṣurādīndriyavad bhogānyathānupapattyā bhoktṛsiddhirityabhiprāyeṇāha - asmāt sāmānyato dṛṣṭādanyasyāpi pramāṇatā || 68 || anumānasya saṃsiddhā yaduktaṃ cārvākaiḥ - astu bhoktā | sa tu paridṛśyamānapṛthivyādicaturbhūtavikārasamāhārātmakaḥ kāya eva | tasyaiva pariṇāmaviśeṣeṇa kiṇvādidravyavikāreṇa madaśaktyabhivyaktivaccaitanyābhivyaktiḥ, prāṇādivāyubalena bhogādikriyādarśanācca | na tu tato'nyaḥ, tasya pratyakṣeṇādarśanāt | yadāhuḥ- dṛṣṭe saṃbhavatyadṛṣṭaparikalpanā na nyāyyā iti | tadapi nirākṛtamityāha- kāraṇādata eva hi | cetano buddhibodhasya bhoktā mānasamarthitaḥ || 69 || pṛthivyādisamāhāro bhavatviti na yuktimat | ayamabhiprāyaḥ- yataḥ śarīrasyāpyantaḥ śūlādyātmanā bahiśca mṛdukarkaśādinā sparśena bhogyatvadarśanād ghaṭādivaccetanatvaṃ na yuktam, tatastasyāpi bhoktṛtvenā''tmā siddha iti || 69 || cetanatvaṃ cāsya na pramāṇopapannamityāha- caitanyaṃ hi tvayā tasya kena mānena niścitam || 70 || nanu śuklaśoṇitātmakadehārambhakabhūtasadbhāva eva caitanyadarśanāt tadabhāve cā'darśanād dehātmakameva caitanyamata āha- sati bhāve'pyanaikāntaḥ śavaśarīre garbhādau vā dehātmakabhūtasadbhāve'pi caitanyā'darśanānna dehātmakaṃ caitanyam, tataśca śarīrā''tmavādo na pramāṇopapanna ityāha- tasmād vāyasavāśitam | bhogyatvāccāsyā'cetanatvamityāha- anabhivyaktacaitanyā dṛṣṭā bhogyā guḍādayaḥ || 71 || jīvacchāyopabhogyatvādastu tulyo guḍādibhiḥ | guḍādayo hi jīvasyā''tmanaśchāyayā'nubhavātmanā saṃvidā bhogyatvena grāhyatayā viṣayīkriyamāṇāḥ kadācidapyabhivyaktacetanā na dṛṣṭāḥ | tataḥ kāyā''tmāpi bhūtasamāhāraḥ proktavadgrāhyatvena bhogyatayā viṣayīkaraṇādacetana eveti na tasya bhoktṛtvamupapadyate | kiñca, dahasyaiva cetanatve tasyā'sakṛtpariṇāmena vināśād bālyāvasthā'nubhūtaṃ vṛddhāvasthāyāṃ smaryamāṇaṃ nopapadyata ityādi vistareṇa nirākṛto'yaṃ pakṣo'smābhiḥ śrīmanmṛgendravṛttidīpikāyām || 71 || nanu śarīravyatiriktānāmindriyāṇāmeva bhoktṛtvamastu, nānyasyetīndriyacaitanikāḥ, tadayuktamityāha- bhogyatvakaraṇatvābhyāmindriyāṇāṃ viniścitam || 72 || acaitanyamato bhoktā puruṣaścitsvabhāvakaḥ | uktavadindriyāṇāmapi bhogārthatayā bhogyatvāt karaṇatvācchastrādivadacetanatvamanivāryameva, ato naiṣāṃ kartṛtvam, api tu citsvabhāvasyātmana eva | tasyaiva hi sarvānyakārakapravṛttinivṛttihetutvena kartṛtvaṃ yuktam | yadāhuḥ- pravṛttau ca nivṛttau ca kārakāṇāṃ ya īśvaraḥ | apravṛttaḥ pravṛtto vā sa kartā nāma kārakaḥ || iti || 72 || bhokturbhogaścitervyaktirbhogyacchāyānurañjitā || 73 || bhogyāyā buddheḥ sukhādirūpāyāśchāyayā ākāreṇānurañjitā caitanyavyaktireva bhokturbhogaḥ | yaduktaṃ śrīmatsvāyaṃbhuve- bhogo'sya vedanā puṃsaḥ sukhaduḥ?khādilakṣaṇā iti || 73 || tadānīṃ ca- acitaścitisaṃbandhād bhogyamābhāti cetanam | acetanamapi buddhyātmakaṃ bhogyaṃ tasyātmanaścaitanyasaṃśleṣāccetanavadābhāsate | taduktaṃ sāṃkhyairapi- acetanaṃ cetanāvadiva liṅgam (sāṃ0 kā0 20) iti || evaṃ ca- bhogyadvāreṇa pāśānāṃ paśūnāṃ ca parasparam || 74 || cetanācetanacchāyānuṣaṅgo bhāsate bhṛśam | bhogyaṃ hi vastu cittādhiṣṭhitaṃ buddhīndriyavṛndamātmano viṣayatvenopasthāpayati tacca buddhyā'dhyavasitaṃ puruṣo gṛhṇāti | yadāhuḥ (pūrvatanī 78 pṛṣṭhasthā dvitīyā ṭippaṇī draṣṭavyā |)- buddhyadhyavasitamarthaṃ puruṣaścetayati iti | tataśca prakāśarūpatvādādarśasthānīyena bhogākhyena buddhibodhātmanā dvāreṇātmanāṃ bhoktṛṇāṃ pāśānāṃ ca viṣayarūpeṇa pariṇatānāṃ bhogyānāṃ cetanācetanarūpayośchāyayoḥ pratibimbitayorākārānuṣaṅgaḥ saṃśleṣamātraṃ bhṛṣamatyarthamekākāratayā bhāsate | ata evātrānātmādau ātmādibhramaḥ saṃsāriṇām | tadvivekajñāne tu teṣāṃ prakṛtilaya ityuktam | sa eva ca sāṃkhyānāṃ mokṣaḥ || 74 || ataśca- bhogye bhogaḥ prabhośchāyā yathā candramaso jale || 75 || prabhorvyāpakasyātmanaḥ sa eva bhogyaviṣayo bhogaḥ, yā tadadhyavasāyātmani buddhibodhe candramasa iva jale chāyāviśiṣṭā caitanyābhivyaktiḥ | candrabimbasya jaḍatvāt sthūlatvācca viśiṣṭasvarūpābhivyaktimātra evātra dṛṣṭāntatvam | ato bhoktṛtvāccetanasya puruṣasyaiva kartṛtvaṃ nācetanānāṃ bhogyānāṃ buddhyādīnāmiti mantavyam || 75 || nanu kriyāveśo hi kartṛtvam | sa yadi puṃsaḥ syāt pariṇāmitā bhavet | puruṣo hi nirvikāraḥ, tato nāsya kartṛtvam, kintu prakṛtereva | sā hi vivekajñānāt pūrvaṃ mahadādirūpeṇa bhogyatayā tasyātmānaṃ darśayatīti saṃsāra ityucyate | tatsaṃbhave tu tasmānnivartamānā muktiśabdābhidheyeti sāṃkhyāḥ | yaduktaṃ taiḥ- raṅgasya darśayitvā nivartate nartakī yathā raṅgāt | puruṣasya tathātmānaṃ prakāśya vinivartate prakṛtiḥ || (sāṃ0 kā0 59) iti ata āha- pariṇāmabhayāt puṃsi bhoge cānīpsite sati | aviśeṣo durāpohaḥ prasakto bhoktṛmuktayoḥ || 76 || ayamabhiprāyaḥ- nātra kriyāveśaḥ kartṛtvam, api tu kriyāyāṃ śaktatvameva | tathāhi- ayaskāntasannidhānādayasa ivātmanaḥ sannidheḥ śarīrādereva spandādirūpaḥ kriyāveśo dṛśyate | tataśca buddhyādiviṣayīkaraṇarūpe bhoge puṃso na pariṇāmaprasaṅgaḥ, kintu tatparatvena tadviṣayīkaraṇameva | bhavatpakṣe tu puṃso nirmalatvena tatparatve'pyanabhyupagamyamāne bhoktṛmuktayoraviśeṣo durnivāraḥ prasajyate, ubhayorapyanapekṣatvena tulyatvāt || 76 || nanu parārthapravṛttā prakṛtireva tadarthaṃ pravartata ityuktam, yadāhuḥ- vatsavivṛddhinimittaṃ kṣīrasya yathā pravṛttirajñasya | puruṣavimokṣanimittaṃ yathā pradhānasya || (sāṃ0 kā0 57) iti, ata āha- pumarthāya ca pāśānāṃ pravṛttirvinivāritā | ayamabhiprāyaḥ- acetanatvādeva pradhānasya puruṣaṃ prati pravṛttirna yuktā, kṣīrāderapi cetanagavādyadhiṣṭhitasyaiva pravṛttidṛṣṭeḥ | vāyujalādīnāmapi pakṣīkṛtatvācca tatpravṛttyabhyupagame'pi na nirapekṣaṃ prati pravṛttiryuktā | nirapekṣaṃ prati pravṛttau vā muktasyāpi pravartate | tataśca baddhātmani sābhilāṣatve bhogārthaṃ samudyogādātmani vikāre cā'nabhyupagamyamāne tasmin bhogo'pi na yuktimānityāha- bhoktaryavikṛte bhogo muktavannopapadyate || 77 || nanvaviveka eva pradhānapravṛtterhetuḥ | prakṛtipuruṣavivekajñāne tu taṃ pratyuparatādhikāratvānna pravartate | ato na baddhamuktayoraviśeṣaḥ | yadāhuḥ- prakṛteḥ sukumārataraṃ na kiñcidastīti me matirbhavati | yā dṛṣṭāsmīti punarna darśanamupaiti puruṣasya || (sāṃ0 kā0 61) iti; tadayuktam, bhavatpakṣe puṃso nirmalatvenāvivekāyogāt, nirhetuke cāviveke sarvadā vivekābhāvaprasaṅgācca | tasmādavivekānyathānupapattyāpi tasya samalatvasarāgatādyabhyupagantavyamiti vakṣyāmaḥ || 77 || yadyevamātmanaḥ samalatvenājñasvabhāvatve śarīrādiyogena jñātṛtayā vikāre cābhyupagamyamāne svabhāvāntarayogādanityatvaprasaṅga iti paramatamāśaṅkate- vikāritvādanityaścet bhokteti śeṣaḥ | pariharati- māyāsādhyaṃ na manyate | māyayā svakāryaiḥ sūkṣmabāhyaśarīradvāreṇa kriyamāṇaṃ viśeṣaṃ na jānīte bhavāniti śeṣaḥ | tato nānityatvādidoṣa ityabhiprāyaḥ || kathamityata āha- svarūpavyaktilābhācca na vikāro na nāśitā || 78 || nāsmābhirnaiyāyikādivajjaḍarūpa evā''tmā iṣyate, api tu jñasvabhāva eva | sa tu tasya svabhāvaḥ śarīrādiyogaṃ vinā'nabhivyakteranādinā kenā'pi pratibaddho'vasīyate, sa ca mala eveti vakṣyāmaḥ | tataśca māyayā kalādibhiḥ svakāryairmalavyudāsenaikadeśasvarūpavyaktirevātmanaḥ kriyate | malaparipāke tu dīkṣākhyayā śivaśaktyā sarvaviṣayo'bhivyajyate | tato nāsya vikāro vināśitā ceti || 78 || asya ca- bhogyopadhānarāgaśca svacchatvānnoktakāraṇāt | ato bhogyaviṣayopadhānajanito rāgo'pi sukhaduḥkhamohākāraḥ prakāśo'sya sphaṭikasyeva svacchatvāt prakāśarūpatvāt, na tu pūrvoktāt pariṇāmākhyāt kāraṇāt | sa ca viṣayoparāgo'pyasya tatparatayā tadviṣayīkaraṇamevetyuktam || tato bhogyasya śarīrasyāsakṛtpariṇāme'pi bhokturna pariṇāma ityāha- śarīrapariṇāmena pariṇāmī na pudgalaḥ || 79 || sa yato'cetano bhogyo buddhivat pariṇāmataḥ | tasyāpi pariṇāmābhyupagame buddhyādivadbhogyatvamacetanatvaṃ ca syādityarthaḥ || 79 || tatra paramatamupanyasya dūṣayati- caitanyaṃ hi guṇo jñānaṃ samavāyo'tha tena vā || 80 || svarūpaṃ puruṣasyeti nānyadasya na yuktimat | evaṃ hi naiyāyikādayo manyante- jaḍasvabhāva evā''tmā, tasya manaḥsaṃyogād guṇatayā jñānaṃ samavetamutpadyate | tadeva ca tasya caitanyam, nānyajjñasvabhāvatvamiti | tadayuktam, jaḍatve tasya ghaṭādivajjñānasamavāyāyogāditi || 80 || nanvatra niyāmakaṃ karmādṛṣṭākhyamasti, yatkarmasamānādhikaraṇe puruṣa eva jñānaṃ samavetamutpadyate, nānyatra tadvyadhikaraṇe ghaṭādāviti, ata āha- ajñe naryeva vijñānaṃ nānyatreti niyāmakam || 81 || karmā'pi nopapannaṃ tu tadanyatra sthitaṃ yataḥ | karmaṇaḥ kṛṣyāderiva prakṛtisaṃskāratvameva nātmasaṃskāratvam, vikāritvaprasaṅgādityuktam | tatastadapi nātra niyāmakaṃ bhavitumarhati | tataścaitanyasamavāyāccitsvabhāva evātmā siddha ityāha- moho mohasvabhāvebhyo yadvannārthāntaraṃ budhāḥ || 82 || caitanyebhyaḥ padārthebhyastadvannārthāntaraṃ citiḥ | caitanyātmano jñānasyātmadharmatvād dharmanāśe dharmiṇo'pi tadavyatirekānnāśaḥ prasajyata iti sarvadā cetanasvabhāva evātmābhyupagantavyaḥ | tasya ca malāvṛtatvānmanobuddhyādayastadabhivyañjakatayā siddhā ityuktam | asya ca bhogakriyāyāmupakārakatayā sahakāribhūtaṃ prayoktṛkaraṇarañjakarūpaṃ kalāvidyārāgākhyaṃ kañcukatrayaṃ prakṛtisādhanāt paścādabhidhāsyata ityāha- prayoktṛkaraṇaṃ bhogye rañjakaṃ copari trayam || 83 || asya bhogakriyākartuḥ prakṭrerupadekṣyate | itthaṃ prasaṅgād bhoktāraṃ prasādhya prakṛte buddherevāhaṅkārasyotpattirityāha- buddheḥ skandho'paro bhinno yo'haṅkāramajījanat || 84 || janitāro guṇā yena dṛṣṭāstatpratibhādiṣu | yena kāraṇena tasyā buddheḥ pratibhādiṣu vṛttiṣu proktena nayena parasparābhibhavenāśrayānmithunībhāvācca kāryasyotpādayitāro guṇāḥ dṛṣṭāḥ, yaduktaṃ sāṃkhyaiḥ- anyonyābhibhavāśrayajananamithunavṛttayaśca guṇāḥ (sāṃ0 kā0 12) iti, tena buddherevādhyavasāyahetoḥ skandhādanyo bhāgo guṇasaṃpṛkto'haṅkāramajījanat | tataśca nahyekaṃ janakamiti nyāyenānyonyasaṃpṛktā eva guṇā janakāstathaiva ca sarveṣu padārtheṣu vartante | sāttvikādivyavahārastu teṣāṃ sattvādibāhulyāditi bhāvaḥ || 84 || sākṣādguṇakāryatvādeva cāsyāṃ guṇānvayo ghaṭādiṣu mṛdākārānvayavadityāha- prathamā vikṛtiḥ sā'to guṇānāṃ tatra yujyate || 85 || udbhavābhibhavābhyāṃ tu niyamena vyavasthitiḥ | guṇā hi tasyāṃ niyamena paramparābhibhavena bhavantaḥ siddhyādijanakā ityuktam, yadyevamahaṅkārasyāpi guṇānvayād guṇebhya evotpattirastu, ata āha- ahaṅkāre'pyayaṃ nyāya iti mā jalpa paṇḍita || 86 || anyonyavikṛtitvāt tanmātrāsvapyanuṣajyate | ahaṅkārādibhūtāntānāṃ sarveṣāmapyanyonyavikṛtitvāt proktavatparamparayā guṇavikāratvānna kevalamahaṅkāra eva tanmātrāsvapi, apiśabdādindriyavarge bhūtavarge ca guṇānvayo'nuṣajyata eva, ghaṭakapālādiṣu mṛdākārānvayavat | na tu sarveṣāṃ sākṣād guṇebhya evotpattirityadoṣaḥ || 86 || atha ke te guṇāḥ ? kairvyāpāraiśca teṣāṃ siddhirityata āha- sattvaṃ rajastamaśceti kāraṇāni dhiyo guṇāḥ || 87 || prakhyāvyāpāraniyamaiḥ puṃyogaṃ ye vitenire | proktavadbuddhyādidvāreṇa bhāvapratyayādirūpaṃ puruṣabhogyaṃ vastu ye sargādau cakrarutpāditavantaḥ, adhunāpi kurvate, te buddherapi kāraṇaṃ guṇā iti | ete ca parasparāviyogādekameva tattvam | yacchrūyate- trayo guṇāstathāpyekaṃ tattvaṃ tadaviyogataḥ (mṛ0 vi0 10|21) iti | tato buddhikāraṇatayā prakāśapravṛttiniyamākhyairvyāpāraiḥ sattvādīnāṃ siddhiḥ | ete ca prādhānyāt pradarśitāḥ, anyeṣāmapi sthairyadhairyādīnāṃ śauryakrauryādīnāmaratimāndyādīnāṃ guṇakāryāṇāmāgameṣu śravaṇāt || 87 || nanu guṇā eva pradhānākhyayā nityatvena sthitā iti sāṃkhyāḥ, tadayuktamityāha- acaitanye'pyanekatvasaṃkhyāsaṃbandhahetutaḥ || 88 || teṣāṃ kāraṇapūrvatvamiṣṭaṃ buddhighaṭādivat | yata eṣāmanekatvasaṃkhyāsaṃbandhādanekatvam, tato'nekatvādacetanatvācca ghaṭādivat kāryatvasiddhiḥ || 88 || kiṃ teṣāmupādānamityata āha- upādānaṃ guṇānāṃ yat prakṛtiḥ sābhidhīyate || 89 || avibhāgasthitā yasyāṃ nirgacchanti śiveritā | yasyāṃ sūkṣmatvenāvibhāgena sthitā guṇāḥ śivapreraṇena svasvapravṛttivibhāgaiḥ sthūlā abhivyajyante, sā prakṛtiḥ | śiveriteti cācetanatvānnāsyāḥ svātantryeṇa pravṛttiriti darśayati | asyāśca pratipuruṣaṃ sūkṣmadehavartitvenānekatvāt kāryatvamiti vakṣyāmaḥ || 89 || atha puruṣasya kalādipañcakañcukayuktasya bhoktṛtvena puṃstvamalayogād dīkṣāyāṃ tacchuddhyarthaṃ prakṛtitattvādūrdhvamāgameṣu pāṭhe satyapi tasya vyāpakatvāccetanatvena bhoktṛtvāccādhvarūpatvaṃ bhogasādhanatvaṃ ca na saṃbhavatīti tamupekṣya tasyaiva rañjakatvena prāguktaṃ rāgatattvaṃ sādhayitumāha- bhogyānubhavamāsādya bhogye saktiḥ pravartate || 90 || tatsiddhyartaṃ tatastasya rāgo bhogānurañjakaḥ | iha hi saṃsārāvasthāyāṃ puruṣasya bhogyaṃ dṛṣṭvā tasmin saktiḥ pravartate | sā ca nāheturutpadyate, muktyavasthāyāmapi prasaṅgāt | atastasya puṃsastasyāḥ sakteḥ sidhyarthaṃ bhogābhilāṣajanako rāgo'bhyupagantavyaḥ || 90 || atra parābhiprāyaḥ- sattvaṃ rajastamato yuktaṃ viṣayeṣvanurañjakam || 91 || buddhāvabhyuditaṃ puṃsastasmādanyo nirarthakaḥ | pariharati- tanmatāvuditaṃ bhogyaṃ tasmin yo'syānurañjakaḥ || 92 || sa rāgo'nyaḥ pramantavyo rūpe'pyetaddhi dūṣaṇam | sāttvikādibhogasādhanaviṣayākārādhyavasāyadvāreṇa buddhāvuditasya sukhaduḥkhamoharūpeṇa pariṇatasya sattvādiguṇatrayasyaiva sākṣādbhogyatvāt tasminnapi bhogye yaḥ puṃso'bhilāṣajanakaḥ, sa tasmādviṣayaguṇādirūpeṇa buddhāvuditāt sattvādiguṇatrayādbhogyarūpādanyo grāhakagato rāgo mantavyaḥ | bhogyasyaivā'bhilāṣajanakatve vītarāgābhāvaprasaṅga iti bhāvaḥ | taduktaṃ tattvasaṃgrahe- bhogyaviśeṣe rāge nahi kaścidvītarāgaḥ syāt (ślo0 10) iti | yadyevamavairāgyalakṣaṇo buddhidharma eva rāgo'stvata āha- rūpe'pyetaddhi dūṣaṇamiti | ayamabhiprāyaḥ- avairāgyalakṣaṇasya rūpasya tāvadvāsanārūpatvānna kāryakaratvam, vāsanāvasthāyāmapi kāryakaratve buddheranantavāsanāyogena puṃso yugapadviruddhā'nantapratipattivaiśasaprasaṅgāt | pratyayātmanā sthūlarūpeṇa bhogyadaśāmāpannena tasmin rāge'bhyupagamyamāne'pi prāgvadvītarāgābhāvaprasaṅga iti tayoranyo rāgo'bhyupagantavya iti | karmaiva rañjakamastviti cenna, tasya kṛṣyādivatphalajanana eva caritārthatvāt, kāryāntarahetutve pramāṇābhāvāt, anekatattvaparikalpanābhāvaprasaṅgācca || 92 || atha vidyāsiddhiḥ- karaṇaṃ na vinā kartuḥ kṛtiḥ karmaṇi dṛśyate || 93 || ato'sti karaṇaṃ vidyā buddhibodhavivecinī | proktavadindriyāṇāṃ viṣayopasthāpakatvenopayogāt tasmin buddhibodhākhye karmaṇi grāhye grahaṇakriyāyāṃ puṃsaḥ kenāpi karaṇena bhavitavyam | yattatkaraṇaṃ sā vidyeti || 93 || atra paraḥ- pradīpavanmatistasya svaparātmaprakāśikā || 94 || vidyate karaṇaṃ puṃso vidyayā kiṃ kariṣyati | buddheḥ prakāśarūpatvāt pradīpavadviṣayākāraṃ svātmānamapi prakāśayatīti na karaṇāntarasiddhiḥ || 94 || pariharati- pradīpaḥ karaṇaṃ puṃsaḥ stambhādyarthopalabdhiṣu || 95 || dīpopalabdhau cakṣuśca buddhāvapyevamiṣyatām | buddherapi grāhyatvena karmatvāt karaṇāpekṣā'stītyuktamiti bhāvaḥ | uktaṃ ca tattvasaṃgrahe- ravivat prakāśarūpo yadi nāma mahāṃstathāpi karmatvāt | karaṇāntarasāpekṣaḥ sakto grāhayitumātmānam || (ślo0 14) iti || 95 || etadeva darśayati- traiguṇyāt sā vivekena śaktā darśayituṃ nahi || 96 || viṣayākāramātmānamaviviktā yataḥ svayam | vidyā guṇaparā vedyaṃ viviktā'to vivekataḥ || 97 || śaktā darśayituṃ puṃso nā'tra kāryo'timatsaraḥ | buddhestriguṇātmakatvena bhogyākāravivekāt karmatayā na svātmaprakāśakatvaṃ pradīpādivat | vidyā tu tadatītatvena bhogyākārād viviktā satī puṃso vedyaṃ karaṇāntaranirapekṣā prakāśayatyeveti || 96-97 || atha kalāyā vyāpāraḥ kathyate- karmādikārakānīkaprayoktā bhogasiddhaye || 98 || svatantraḥ puruṣaḥ kartā kalā tasya prayojikā | bhoktṛtvena bhogārthaṃ buddhyādikārakavrātaprayoktṛtvāt kartā puruṣa ityuktam- pravṛttau ca nivṛttau ca kārakāṇāṃ ya īśvaraḥ | apravṛttaḥ pravṛtto vā sa kartā nāma kārakaḥ || iti | tasya ca bhogakriyāyāṃ vakṣyamāṇavat sāmarthyopodbalanena prayojikā kalā śāstreṣūcyate || 98 || nanvakartaiva puruṣa iti sāṃkhyāḥ, tadayuktamityāha- akartṛtvā'bhyupagame bhoktṛśabdo nirarthakaḥ || 99 || upādānapravṛtteśca niṣphalatvaṃ prasajyate | bhogasyā'pi kriyātvād bhoktṛtvenaiva puṃsaḥ kartṛtvaṃ siddhyati | tasminnakartaryabhyupagamyamāne tadbhogārthaṃ pradhānasyā'pi pravṛttirniṣphalā syāt, akartari karaṇādisaṃbandhasya nirarthakatvāt || 99 || kiñca- kartṛmat karmadevādi kriyāsādhanabhāvataḥ || 100 || vāsyādivadataḥ kartā parijñeyo vibhuḥ pumān | avibhutve hyātmano gaganādivadamūrtatvād deśāntaranayanā'saṃbhavena dākṣiṇātyādeḥ kāśmīrādau dṛśyamāno deśāntaraphalabhogo'nupapanna iti tadanyathā'nupapattyā''tmā vyāpako'bhyupagantavya iti | uktaṃ ca śrīmatparākhyādau- kartṛśaktiṃ vyanaktyasya kalā'syātaḥ prayojikā | tataḥ kalāsamāyukto bhoge'ṇuḥ kartṛkārakaḥ || iti | asya kartuḥ puṃsaḥ kartṛśaktiḥ śakterekatvājjñānakriyāśaktirvakṣyamāṇavad malāvṛtatvenārthaṣu na pravartata iti pradīpavat prakāśarūpā kalaikadeśe malavidāraṇena tānabhivyanakti prakāśayati | tataḥ sā prayojikā hetuḥ kartrī bhaṇyate | sa cāṇuḥ puruṣastayā'tyantāvivekena bhāsamāno bhogakriyāṇāṃ kartṛkārakamucyate | sa hi bhoktṛtvāt kartā, kalā tu tatprayojikātvāt kārakamiti | taduktaṃ śrīmanmṛgendre- ityetadubhayaṃ vipra saṃbhūyā'nanyavat sthitam | bhogakriyāvidhau jantornijaguḥ kartṛkārakam || (vi0 10|7) iti || 100 || anyathāhi- vyaktikartranapekṣasya kartṛbhāve samīhite || 101 || ātmanaḥ prākkalāyogāt prasaktā sarvakartṛtā | sarvakartṛtvasaṃbandhāt sarvajñaḥ parameśavat || 102 || sarvajñatvādayuktā'sya svātmaduḥkhāya kartṛtā | ātmano hi nirmalatvena kalānapekṣasyaiva kartṛtve'bhyupagamya-māne śivavat kalādipāśātmakaśarīrasaṃbandhaṃ vinaiva sarvakartṛtvam, ajñātasya karaṇāsaṃbhavena sarvajñatvaṃ ca bhavet | nirāvaraṇatvena śivenā'nadhiṣṭhitasya svatantrasyā'sya svātmana eva duḥkhāya śarīrādikartṛtvaṃ na yujyate | ato'sya sukhotpādādau pāratantryadarśanād baddhatvaṃ samalatvaṃ ca niścīyate | tata eva cā'syāsarvakartṛtvamasarvajñatvaṃ ca saṃsārāvasthāyāṃ dṛśyate || 101-102 || tato malāvṛtatvādasya bhoge viṣaye kiñcijjñatvakartṛtvayorapi phalānugrahāpekṣā siddhetyāha- na cāsya sarvakartṛtvaṃ baddhatvād govṛṣādivat || 103 || kalānugrahasāpekṣā bhoge tenā'sya kartṛtā | itthaṃ kalāṃ prasādhya tasyā eva vidyārāgāvyaktānāmudbhava ityāha- skandho'paraḥ kalāyāstu yasmādetāḥ prajajñire || 104 || vidyārāgaprakṛtayo yugmāyugmakrameṇa tu | yugmakrameṇa rāgavidye sahaiva jāyete, avyaktaṃ tu pṛthagayugmakrameṇetyarthaḥ | uktaṃ ca śrīmadraurave- kalātattvādrāgavidye dve tattve saṃbabhūvatuḥ | avyaktaṃ ca (2|15) iti | atra karmaphalabhogasya kālā'vacchedaṃ bhoktṛniyamaṃ ca vinā'nutpatteḥ kālaniyatyākhyaṃ tattvadvayamāgameṣu śrūyamāṇamarthasiddhatvādācāryeṇā'nupāttam | tathāhi- kṛṣyādivat karmaphalānāṃ rājaniyamā'bhāve dasyubhirapahāradarśanād jyotiṣṭomādikarmaphalānāmapi bhoktṛpratiniyāmakena kenā'pi bhāvyamiti tanniyāmakatvena niyatiḥ siddhā | karmaṇo niyāmakatvamastīti cet ? tanna, tasya phalajanana eva caritārthatvādityuktam | īśvaraśakterapi tattvāntaravyavadhānenaiva bhogaviṣaye kāryakaratvam, anyathā sarvatattvābhāvaprasaṅgāt | kiñca, cirakṣiprādipratyayadvāreṇa ciraṃ bhuṅkte ityādibhogyādyavacchedakatvena kālaḥ siddhaḥ | sa ca na naiyāyikādyabhyupagatavannityo bhavitumarhati, bhūtādirūpatvenānekatvādacetanatvācca | taduktaṃ śrīmammṛgendre- truṭyādipratyayasyārthaḥ kālo māyāsamudbhavaḥ | kalayannā samutthānānniyatyā niyataṃ paśum || (vi0 10|14) iti || 104 || itthaṃ sūkṣmadehātmikāṃ tattvasaṃhatimuktvā tasyāḥ pratipuruṣaṃ niyatatvamāha- vasudhādikalāprāntā bhogasādhanasaṃhatiḥ || 105 || niyatā pratibhoktāraṃ parijñeyā manīṣibhiḥ | taduktaṃ tattvasaṃgrahe- vasudhādyastattvagaṇaḥ pratipuṃniyataḥ kalānto'yam | paryaṭati karmavaśato bhuvanajahedeṣvayaṃ ca sarveṣu || (ślo0 24-25) iti || 105 || ekatve sūkṣmadehasya sarveṣāṃ dṛśyamānabhogabhedo na yukta ityāha- anyathā hi sukhādīnāṃ dṛṣṭo bhedo na yujyate || 106 || nanvekatve'pi sūkṣmadehasya karmabhedādeva tatphalabhogabhedo bhaviṣyatīti cet ? tadayuktamityāha- yokṣyate karmaṇo bhedāt tadbhedo yadi yokṣyate | karmabhedādeva bhogabhedaḥ siddhyati, siddhe ca bhogabhede karmabhedo'numīyata itītaretarāśrayadoṣaḥ prasakta ityarthaḥ || nanu kartṛbhedādeva siddhaḥ karmabhedaḥ, karmabhedācca bhogabheda iti nānyonyāśrayadoṣaḥ ? ata āha- sambandhādyugapat sā tu kurvantī karmakartṛbhiḥ || 107 || kathaṃ bhinnāni karmāṇi kartṛbhedāt kariṣyati | malāvṛtatvenā''tmanāṃ kalādisūkṣmadehādisambandhaṃ vinā karmakartṛtvā'nupapatteryugapat sarvakartṛsambandhena karma kurvāṇā sā sūkṣmadeharūpā tattvasaṃhatirekarūpā kathaṃ bhinnāni vicitrāṇi karmāṇi karoti, naivetyarthaḥ | nanu pratipuruṣaṃ cikīrṣābhedāt karmabheda iti cet ? tanna, cikīrṣāyāśca sūkṣmadehasambandhādevotpatteḥ | tasyāścaikatvāccikīrṣābhedo'pyanupapanna iti paridṛśyamānabhogabhedānyathā'nupapattyā pratipuruṣaṃ sūkṣmadehabhedo'vaśyamabhyupagantavyaḥ || 107 || nanvātmabhede hi sūkṣmadehabhedo yuktaḥ, sa eva tāvadeka iti vedāntavidastatrā''ha- ātmanāmapyanekatvamata eva pratīyate || 108 || ekatve hyātmanaḥ sukhaduḥkhādivaicitryaṃ janmamaraṇavai-citryaṃ cānupapannamiti bhogavaicitryādevā''tmanānātvasiddhiḥ | eṣa cādvaitanirāso'smābhirmṛgendravṛttidīpikāyāṃ vistareṇa darśitaḥ || 108 || atha kimiyaṃ sūkṣmadeharūpā tattvasaṃhatirātmavad vyāpikā, āhosvidavyāpiketyata āha- tasyāścāvibhutā siddhā yugapad vṛttyasaṃbhavāt | jñānakriyābhivyaktilakṣaṇasya tatkāryasya sarvatra yugapadanutpattestasyāścāvyāpakatvasiddhiḥ || nanu yatra sahakāriṇā karmaṇā phalārambheṇa nirdeśo bhavati, tatraivāsāvātmanaścaitanyābhivyaktaye vikṣobhamabhivyañjanarūpaṃ karotīti tasmādevāsyāḥ sarvatra yugapatkāryānutpattirnāvyāpakatvā-diti cet, tadapyayuktam, tasyāḥ kāryatvenā'nityatvād ghaṭādivad vyāpakatvā'siddherityabhiprāyeṇāha- karmanirdeśavikṣobhakaraṇatvaṃ ca nottaram || 109 || yugapad vṛttyanutpatteḥ sarvatra vibhutaiva na | atha kimiyamekadeśe caitanyābhivyaktiḥ sūkṣmadehavyañja-kasyā'vibhutvāt, uta vyaṅgyasyā''tmanaḥ ? ityata āha- vikāritvādidharmyātmā virodhaśca śruteraṇau || 110 || avibhau yugapaccittvavyaktikāle'pyaṇurvibhuḥ | yadyavyāpaka ātmā syāt, tadā deśāntaraphalopabhogo'pyanupa-panna ityuktam | kiñca, tasya muktyavasthāyāṃ śivavat sarvajñatvasarvakartṛkatvaśravaṇād vyāpakatvamavaśyamabhyupeyam | atha saṃsārāvasthāyāmavyāpakatvaṃ muktyavasthāyāṃ ca vyāpakatvaṃ tasyeṣyate, tadā pariṇāmitvācetanatvādidoṣaprasaṅgaḥ, tato nityatvavyāpakatvādiśrutervirodhaḥ | taduktaṃ śrīmanmṛgendre- caitanyaṃ dṛkkriyārūpaṃ tadastyātmani sarvadā | sarvataśca yato sādhāraṇatattvasṛṣṭimāha- tattvānāmapare skandhā bhogino ratibhūmayaḥ || 111 || sūkṣmadeharūpād bhogādanye vicitrabhuvanādyākārāstat-tvānāṃ bhogāḥ saṃsāriṇo bhogasthānānītyarthaḥ || 111 || ataśca- tajjadehapraviṣṭā sā teṣāṃ tāsu phalāvahā | sūkṣmadehātmikā tattvasaṃhatirācārāpekṣayā tāsu bhogabhūmiṣu karmavaśāt tattadbhuvanajadeheṣu praviṣṭā satī puruṣasyaikadeśena jñānakriyāsāmarthyāṃśābhivyañjikā bhavati | taduktaṃ tattvasaṃgrahe- paryaṭati karmavaśato bhuvanajadeheṣvayaṃ ca sarveṣu (ślo0 25) iti | śrīmanmṛgendre'pi- ityātivāhikamidaṃ vapurasya jantościtsaṅgacidgahanagarbhavivarti leśāt | naitāvatā'lamiti bhauvanatattvapaṅktimādhāradehaviṣayā'bhyudayāya vakṣye || (vi0 12|34) iti | tāmeva bhuvanasṛṣṭiṃ saṃkṣepeṇa darśayati- nirayādistu satyalokordhvasthitasya viṣṇulokasyāpyupari vartate | rudraloke vartamāno'nantaśiṣyaḥ śrīkaṇṭhastasyaiva brahmāṇḍāntaradhikārāt taiḥ kālahāṭakadeśikaiḥ svasvabhuvanavartiṣvādimadhyānteṣvadhiṣṭhitā narakapātālabhūrādilokātmikā bhuvanapaddhatiḥ sthūleṣu brahmāṇḍāntarvartiṣu sthitā || 112 || tataśca- śatarudravibhuścāpi saha pañcabhiraṣṭakaiḥ || 113 || mātrāsaṃbhūtabhūteṣu proktabhūtavidhātṛṣu | tanmātrā cittavargeṣu tatra śatarudrāṇāṃ brahmāṇḍadhārakāṇāmadhiṣṭhātā vīrabhadraḥ pṛthivītattve prāguktasthūlapṛthivīkāraṇabhūte tanmātrā'janye sūkṣmapṛthivītattve sthitaḥ | tathā sthūlajalādi-kāraṇabhūte tanmātrājanye eva sūkṣmajalādibhūtacatuṣṭaye | cittavargaśabdenāntaḥkaraṇānāmupādānāt tanmātrādyahaṅkā-rānte cā'dhvani guhyātiguhyaguhyatarapavitrasthāṇvākhyāni pañcāṣṭakāni kṛtādikam | aprāptaguṇabhāve tu viśuddhe guṇamastake || 115 || vikāre prākṛte līnā vāmādisthānamālikā | krodheśvara(adi)rudrāṇāṃ purapaṅktiḥ pradhānagā || 116 || vāmadevādayastrayodaśa rudrāḥ krodheśādibhiraṣṭabhiḥ saha pradhānā'dhipairguṇamastakabhuvaneṣu sthitāḥ, prakṛteḥ sūkṣma- rūpatvādbhuvanā''dhāratvā'yogādityāgamavidaḥ || 114-116 || tathā- maṇḍalāni tu vāmāṣṭau kalātattve sthitāni tu | rāgavidyāsahite kalātattve'ṣṭāṣṭakrameṇāṣṭau bhuvanānāṃ maṇḍalāni sthitāni | taduktaṃ śrīmanmṛgendre- rāgavidyāgarbhe kalāpade | mahāpuracatuṣṣaṣṭimaṇḍale maṇḍalādhipāḥ || (vi0 13|152) iti | kālaniyatyośca bhuvanadvayaṃ tatraivoktam- niyatau yantā kāle kalanaśaktimān (vi0 13|150) iti | eṣa ca bhuvanādhvā paddhatyādiṣu bahuśo dṛśyata iti nātra vistareṇa pradarśitaḥ | teṣu cā'vāntarabhuvanasaṃkhyābhedaḥ keṣucit keṣāñcidantarbhāvādityavirodhaḥ | itthaṃ bhuvanātmikāmapi tattvasṛṣṭimuktvā proktasya kalādirūpasya jagataḥ paramopādānaṃ māyāṃ sādhayati- jagadbījaṃ mahāmāyā || sarvakāryāṇi sarvatra srotobhirviśvadhāmabhiḥ | taduktaṃ bṛhaspatipādaiḥ- api sarvasiddhavācaḥ kṣīyeran dīrghakālamudgīrṇāḥ | māyāyāmānantyānnocyate srotasāṃ saṃkhyā || iti | eṣā ca kṣīradadhinyāyena na sarvātmanā pariṇāmameti, kintu ghṛtakīṭanyāyenaikadeśeneti mantavyam || 120 || sargasthitilayāstasyāḥ svātmasaṃsthāḥ prakīrtitāḥ || 121 || svātmasaṃsthaṃ vikārasya tattvādibhuvanā'vadheḥ | evaṃ paramopādānatvānmāyāsthā eva jagataḥ sargādayaḥ, bhuvanādeśca vikārasya tattvādisvarūpaṃ svātmasaṃsthamiti tattvabhāvabhūtabhuvanātmakaṃ ca samastaṃ jagad vikārasthameva 121 || atra ca- sargasthitī samākhyāte layaḥ sargaviparyayāt || 122 || pratitattvamutpattikramakathanena vyāpārapradarśanena ca sargasthitī prokte, layastu sargaprātilomyena svasvakāraṇeṣūpasaṃhāra ityarthaḥ || 122 || etacca- bhavasyānādimattvācca sargādigaṇanācyutam | anādirayaṃ saṃsāra ityarthaḥ | nanu bhogasādhanatvādātmanāṃ yukte sargasthitī, layastu kimarthamīśvareṇa kriyate | atra vadāmaḥ- anavaratamanantapuruṣabhogajananopacitaśaktermāyāyāḥ sukumāravanitāyā iva svāpena sāmarthyopodbalanārthamātmanāṃ viśramārthaṃ ca karmapākārthaṃ ca saṃhāra ityadoṣaḥ | taduktaṃ śrīmanmṛgendre- tacca sātmakamākramya viśramāyā'vatiṣṭhate | bhavināṃ bhavakhinnānāṃ sarvabhūtahito yataḥ || svāpe'pyāste bodhayan bodhayogyān rodhyān rundhan pācayan karmikarma | māyāśaktīrvyaktiyogyāḥ prakurvan paśyan sarvaṃ yadyathā vastujātam || (vi0 4|13-15) iti | itthamātmanaḥ pratipāditaṃ sasādhanaṃ bhogamupasaṃhartuṃ tasyaiva malātmakaṃ pāśamupakṣeptuṃ cāha- puṃsāṃ māyāmayaṃ bhogyaṃ māyotthaireva sādhanaiḥ || 123 || yato bhoktā viśuddhātmā cetanastanna cetanam | uktavat sukhādirūpaṃ buddhibodhātmakaṃ bhogyaṃ māyākāryameva | na tvātmani guṇatvena samavaiti, cetanatvāt, tatsamavāye puruṣasya pariṇāmādidoṣaprasaṅgācca | tasya ca cetanaḥ puruṣa eva bhoktetyuktam | sa ca vakṣyamāṇavadaviśuddhatvādāvṛta- jñānakriyātvānmāyotthaiḥ kalādibhistattvairupabṛṃhita eva tadbhoktuṃ vinā kiñcijjñatvāderapyadarśanāt || 123 || atha kuto'pyamaviśuddhātmā'ta āha- viṣayitvamalacchannasarvajñānakriyo yataḥ || 124 || yato'yamātmā śivavat sarvajñānakriyāyukto'pi kiñcidviṣaye vijñānādau kalādikamapekṣate | yataśca muktasyā'bhoktṛtvaṃ sarvaviṣayajñānādiyuktatvaṃ śrūyate, tato'yaṃ viṣayitvākhyabhoktṛtvasya hetutvād viṣayitvākhyena malenāvṛto'vasīyate | yacchrūyate- bhoktṛtvaṃ malataḥ proktam iti | ata evā'yamaviśuddhaḥ | taduktaṃ śrīmatsvāyaṃbhuve- yadyaśuddhirnapuṃso'sti saktirbhogeṣu kiṃkṛtā (33|4) iti || 124 || ataśca- bījasthakarmarāgeṇa māyāmeṣo'nudhāvati | karmaṇaḥ kṛṣyādivadātmasaṃskāratvā'yogāt | bhavāvasthāyāṃ buddhigatena pralaye naṣṭabuddherapi māyātmani jagadbīje pratisaṃcārāt tatsthena paripākavaśād bhogajanakena karmātmanā rāgeṇa mārgeṇa māyāṃ bhogasādhanādirūpeṇa pariṇatāmeṣa pumānanusarati || atra paraḥ- bhavāntarakṛtaṃ karma jātyādiphaladaṃ nṛṇām || 125 || aśuddhiḥ kalpitā puṃsastasmin satyatiricyate | anāditvena bījāṅkuranyāyena kāryaśarīrabandhasyāvasthiterjātyāyurbhogapradāni karmāṇyeva svaphalabhogārthamātmanaḥ śarīrayogaṃ kurvantu, kiṃ malena | bhavatā'pi hi taṃ malaṃ kalpayitvā bhogavaicitryānyathānupapattyā karmā'pi kalpyate, tataḥ kalpanāgauravaprasaṅgāt karmaiva kalpyatām | yadāhuḥ- kalpyaṃ punarniruṇaddhi kalpanām iti || 125 || atra parihāraḥ- janmādijanikā śaktiḥ karmaṇo na malaṃ vinā || 126 || aṇurajñānarahitaḥ kvacijjāto na dṛśyate | ajñānahetunā malena rahitasya muktātmano janmādarśanāt karmānuṣṭhānādarśanācca malayuktasyaiva karmārjanaṃ tadbhogo vā upayujyate || 126 || yadyevaṃ malasyaiva janmādihetutvamastu, kiṃ karmaṇeti codayati- viṣayitvaṃ hi tasyaikamastu kiṃ tena karmaṇā || 127 || yato janmādisaṃbandhamanusaṃprāpnuyād dhruvam | pariharati- santi kevalino jñānagrastāḥ karmavinākṛtāḥ || 128 || na ca janmādisaṃbandho dvayaṃ teneha kāraṇam | vijñānakevalināṃ malāvṛtānāmapi karmarahitānāṃ janmādyadarśanād dvayamapi māyāyoge heturityarthaḥ || 128 || nanu sṛṣṭeḥ prāg niṣkalatvāccetanatvāccātmanaḥ śivavadajñatvaṃ na yujyata iti parāśaṅkāṃ nirasyati- prāksṛṣṭerniṣkalo janturdṛkkṛyāguṇavān yataḥ || 129 || tataścājñānasambandho nāyamityanṛtaṃ vacaḥ | yadyevaṃ śivavadeva kalāsambandho'pyasya na yujyate, tataśca kalāsambandhā'nyathā'nupapattyā tasya malo'bhyupagantavya ityarthaḥ || 129 || etadevāha- dṛkkriye sarvaviṣaye sarvagatvādaṇormate || 130 || sarvajñaḥ sarvakṛt tasmāt sutṛptaḥ kāraṇaṃ vinā | nacaitadevaṃ kiñcijjñatvādāvapi kalādyapekṣitvādityāha- kalādivyañjakābhāvānna vyakte tasya dṛkkriye || 131 || na caitadanāvaraṇasya yujyata ityāha- nahyanāvaraṇaṃ tejo bhānorvyañjakamīkṣate | ataśca- anādyanādisambandho malaḥ sādhāraṇo'kṣayaḥ || 132 || anādiścāsāvātmanāmanādisaṃbandhaścānādyāvārakaḥ sarvapuruṣāṇāmeka eva | ata eva nityaśca malo'bhyupagantavyaḥ || 132 || yadyevaṃ malasya nityatvāt kadācidapyātmabhyo na nivṛttiḥ, nivṛttau vā tasyaikatvādedapuruṣamokṣakāle sarvamokṣaprasaṅgo'ta āha- pratipuṃniyataḥ svasvakālavyāvṛttaśaktikaḥ | malasya pratyātmaniyatānantaśaktiyuktatvādekasyāḥ śakteḥ pariṇāmavaśānnirodhe kṛte tasyaiva mokṣo nānyasya | yacchrūyate - pratyātmasthasvakālāntāpāyiśaktisamūhavat (mṛ0 vi0 7\8) iti || nanu prākṛta eva viparyayarūpo mahāmohākhyo malo'stu, tasyāstata eva vyañjakāpekṣā karmānuṣṭhānaṃ copapadyate, ata āha- mahāmohodbhavāt pūrvamaṇureṣa nirañjanaḥ || 133 || na śakyojjhayituṃ tenāsaṃvṛtaḥ śarvavat svayam | mahāmohasya kalādisambandhottarakālabhāvitvāt prathamataḥ sargārambhe bhavatpakṣe nirmalatvena śivavadanāvṛtaḥ pumāṃstena prākṛtamalenojjhayituṃ na śakyate | ato'nādinā malenātmano'nādisaṃbandho'bhyupagantavyaḥ || 133 || anyathā tu- ādimān yadi sambandha iṣṭaḥ puṃmalayorbudhāḥ || 134 || tasyāpi kāraṇaṃ vācyamiti nāsti vyavasthitiḥ | atha nirhetuko yogaḥ kalāyogo'pyahetukaḥ || 135 || anirmokṣaśca jantūnāmīśābhāvaśca jāyate | nirhetukasya pāśasaṃsargasyābhyupagame śarīrādiyogasyā'pi nirhetukatvānamuktasyāpi punaḥ saṃsārayogādanirmokṣaḥ | śivasyā'pi pāśasaṃsargādinīśvaratvaṃ prasajyate | ato'nādireva malasambandhaḥ paśoḥ saṃsāraheturabhupeyaḥ || 134-135 || eva malasyā'sādhāraṇatve pratipuruṣamanekatve'bhyupagamyamāne jaḍatve satyanekatvād ghaṭādivadanityatvaprasaṅgaḥ, tataścānāditvābhāvāt prāgukyo'navasthānānirmokṣādidoṣaḥ syādityāha- asāmānyo yadi bhavedacaitanye tvanekataḥ | utpādavān vināśī ca tataḥ pūrvoktadoṣabhāk | anāditvādeva cāsya nāntavattvaṃ tadyoge vā sarvānityatvaprasaṅga ityāha- anādyanādisambandho yadi ceṣṭo vinaśvaraḥ || 137 || māyāśivātmavastūnāmajānāṃ nāśa iṣyatam | itthaṃ prāk pratijñātaṃ malasyānāditvaṃ sādhāraṇatvamakṣayatvaṃ ca prasādhyānantaśaktiyuktatvamapi sādhayati- pratipuṃniyatāścāsya śaktayo guṇarodhikāḥ || 138 || ātmaguṇasya jñānakriyātmano rodhikāḥ | etacca prāgeva darśitam || 138 || paridṛśyamāna bhogavaicitryānyathā'nupapattyā tāsāṃ malaśaktīnāṃ pariṇāmakāle vaicitryaṃ siddhamityāha- na kālaniyatistāsāṃ vinivṛttyai nirodhataḥ | anyathā yugapanmuktiḥ sarveṣāṃ cidvatāṃ bhavet || 139 || na ca sā dṛśyate tasmājjñeyāstāḥ sūkṣmalakṣaṇāḥ | evaṃ cānādyāvārakatvānmala evā'tmanaḥ sahajaḥ pāśaḥ | māyādayastu- tadbhāvabhāvino bhāvāḥ sarvemāyātmakāḥ paśoḥ ityādiśrīmatsvāyambhuvādiśruterāgantukā eva jñeyāḥ || 139 || nanu śrīmanmataṅgādau tu - moho madaśca rāgaśca viṣādaḥ śoṣa----- (vi0 6 |103) ityādinā mohādīnāmapi malahetutvaṃ sahajamalatvaṃ ca śrūyate | ata āha- vṛttayo viṣayitvasya madādyāḥ pañca nocitāḥ || 140 || niṣkalātmani tasyaite no dṛṣṭā jātucid yataḥ | yato vijñānākalapralayākalayoḥ kalādisambandharahitatayā male satyapi vakṣyamāṇamadādayo na dṛśyante, kintu sakala eva, ato na malasyaite jñānakriyāvaraṇavad vṛttitveneṣṭāḥ | śrīmanmataṅgādau tu malasadbhāva eva māyopādānānāmanātmādāvātmābhimānādirūpāṇāmeṣāṃ madādīnāmutpadyamānatvāt kalādiyoge'pi nirmalānāṃ māyāgarbhādikāryādīnāṃ tadadarśanācca tena malena sahakāriṇā jāyanta iti sahajamalahetutvāt sahajaśabdenocyante, na tu malopādānatayetyavirodhaḥ || 140 || nanu malopādānā apyete pralayakevalāvasthāyāmanabhivyaktāḥ paścāt kalādisambandhādabhivyajyanta ityasya pakṣasya ko doṣaḥ ? ata āha- bhogasādhanasambandhād vyajyanta iti nocitam || 141 || tvayā tu guṇavṛttibhyo ye proktā bhinnalakṣaṇāḥ | bhavatā(ntu) guṇavṛttibhyo bhedenaiva madādayaḥ || 142 || proktā iti | na teṣāṃ bhogasādhanasambandhāt paścādabhivyaktirutpadyate | etaduktaṃ bhavati - madādīnāṃ hi malopādānatve'bhyupagamyamāne tasya sarvadaikarūpatvādabhivyaktyanabhivyaktibhedānutpattestatkāryabhūta-jñānakriyāvaraṇavat saṃhārāvasthāyāmapyupalabhyeran, na copalabhyante | api tu bhogasādhanasambandhottarakālamantaḥ karaṇasaṃsthā eva puṃsāmupalabhyante, ato malena sahakāriṇā māyodbhūtaguṇopādānā eva te'bhyupagantavyā iti || 141-142 || athaiṣāṃ guṇātmakatvameva darśayati | madamohāvabhiṣvaṅgaḥ paritāpabhramau ca yau | tāmasau sāttvikaścaiva rājasau ca yathākramam || 143 || evaṃ ca- antaḥkaraṇasaṃsthānāṃ guṇānāṃ vṛttayastvimāḥ | na caitadvyatiriktāḥ kāścinmalasya vṛttayo madādisaṃjñāḥ kasyāñcidavasthāyāmātmani dṛśyante | tato na santyeva tā ityāha- ābhyo bhinnā na mūlasya vṛttayo'to na santi tāḥ || 144 || ataśca- tyaktvā nirodhikāḥ śaktīrnānyo dharmo'sya vidyate | karmāśayasametasya hetutvaṃ ca bhaved bhave || 145 || kevalamalasya jñānakriyāvārakatvaṃ karmasaṃskārayuktasya saṃsārahetutvaṃ ca yuktisiddham | nānyat kāryāntaramityarthaḥ || 145 || itthaṃ malasvarūpamapi pradarśyopasaṃharati - paśuritthaṃ samākhyāto yatsambandhādaṇuḥ paśuḥ | paśuśabdo malavācakatayā śrīmadrauravādau dṛśyate | tasya ca na tattvāntaratā, api tu paśutattva evāntarbhāvaḥ, tena vinā''tmanāṃ paśutvā'yogāt, tenānādyāvṛtatvācca | kiñca, vidhau sṛṣṭikāle śivasya sṛṣṭyādikaraṇapūrvamātmanāṃ bhogabhojanātmakaḥ, māyāyāśca bhogasādhanakalādyutpādanatatpoṣaṇātmakaḥ, paśvātmanāṃ ca bhogyabhogarūpo vyāpāro'smin prakaraṇe proktaḥ | ete caiṣāṃ vyāpārā ātmāvārakamalādeva hetubhūtād bhavanti, malasadbhāva evā'sya sarvasya pravṛtteriti | api ca, madādayaśca kleśāḥ puṃsāmatraiva pradarśitā ityupasaṃharan adhikārabhedāt teṣāṃ vṛttibhedānāha- prasuptā tattvalīnānāṃ taṭaruddhāśca yoginām | vicitrodārarūpāśca kleśā viṣayasaṅginām || 146 || samāpteyaṃ bhogakārikā || māyātattvalīnānāṃ pralayākalānāmete kleśā guṇādīnāmapi tattvānāṃ tatraivopasaṃhārāt prasuptā akiñcitkarā āsate | yogināṃ tvabhivyaktā api yogabalānmadhye niruddhavyāpārā bhavanti | viṣayasaṅgināṃ tu sakalānāṃ paśūnāmudbhūtavividhasvavyāpārā bhavanti | vicchinnodārarūpā iti pāṭhe parasparamudbhavābhibhavābhyāṃ kadācidvicchinnarūpāḥ kadāciccodārarūpāśca bhavantītyarthaḥ | itthaṃ prāk pratijñātayoḥ sasādhanayorbhogamokṣayoḥ sasādhano bhogastāvadetābhiḥ pradarśita ityatraiva bhogaprakaraṇopasaṃhāraḥ | mokṣastu sasādhanaḥ prakaraṇāntare pradarśayiṣyata iti śubham || 146 || śrīmatkheṭakanandanena guruṇā siddhāntasiddhaḥ sphuṭaṃ saṃkṣepāditi kārikābhirudito bhogaḥ samaṃ sādhanaiḥ | vācastasya samīkṣya vītatapasā'ghorādinā śambhunā leśād deśikakuñjareṇa vivṛtistāsāmiyaṃ nirmitā ||
